PlayStation Plus has a list of 12 upcoming monthly games across the PS Plus Essential (free games), PS Plus Extra, and PS Plus Premium tiers, all confirmed to release sometime between now and September 15, 2026. It’s uncertain if this windfall of PS Plus games being revealed ahead of time is going to be a dominant strategy going forward, or if it’s just a byproduct of the summer gaming events in June. It would be great if Sony held another PlayStation event in August and confirmed more through December, but that’s just musing at this time.
Either way, as it stands, PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers still have 8 games for July, PS Plus Essential and Premium have 1 game each queued for August, and PS Plus Extra is getting a new open-world survival game in September.
Each tier is listed below, but for simplicity’s sake, PS Plus subscribers are getting Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Firefighting Simulator: Ignite, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind, Dying Light, Snow Bros. Wonderland, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy, and Indigo Prophecy in July. In August, PS Plus subscribers are getting Big Walk and Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams, while PS Plus is adding RuneScape: Dragonwilds in September.

PS Plus Still Has 8 Extra and Premium Games Coming in July
Because PS Plus Extra and Premium are changing how it rolls out games, the PS Plus Extra and Premium games are coming on different dates. One has already been added, even. The first two PS Plus Extra games, as well as the PS Plus Premium games, listed below all join the service on July 21. Meanwhile, the bolded games all join on July 28.
- Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora (PS Plus Extra)
- Firefighting Simulator: Ignite (PS Plus Extra)
- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind (PS Plus Extra)
- Dying Light (PS Plus Extra)
- Snow Bros. Wonderland (PS Plus Extra)
- Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (PS Plus Extra)
- Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy (PS Plus Premium)
- Indigo Prophecy (PS Plus Premium)
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a Ubisoft open-world game set in the titular franchise, while Firefighting Simulator: Ignite is all in the title. They join the service on July 21 and are also joined by the two PS Plus Premium games, Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy and Indigo Prophecy. The former is a cult classic action game focused on psychic abilities, while the latter is an interactive narrative game about two detectives and a murderer (who murdered while being possessed).
On July 28, four other games join the PS Plus Extra tier: the retro-inspired beat ’em up Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind, the original open-world zombie game Dying Light, the snowy 3D platformer Snow Bros. Wonderland, and the choice-driven RPG Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector.
PS Plus is Getting a Co-Op Friendslop Game and a Samurai Action Game in August

- Big Walk (PS Plus Essential)
- Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams (PS Plus Premium – August)
PS Plus has also confirmed that Big Walk is a day-one PS Plus Essential release, joining the service on August 4, while Onimusha: Dawn of Dream is a samurai action game coming with the PS Plus Premium additions, likely still around the midpoint of the month. The former is a friendslop, communication-focused, walking game like Peak in its design, while Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams is really an appetizer ahead of Way of the Sword’s release later this year.
- RuneScape: Dragonwilds (PS Plus Extra)
Last, but certainly not least, PS Plus Extra is getting RuneScape: Dragonwilds as a day-one game on September 15. It is an open-world survival crafting game set on the forgotten continent of Ashenfall, where up to four players can explore, build, gather resources, and battle powerful dragons in co-op or solo play. Unlike the main MMORPG, Dragonwilds leans into survival mechanics while retaining the RuneScape universe’s familiar monsters, skills, and magic. Players gradually unlock new crafting recipes, spells, and equipment as they uncover the island’s mysteries, all while preparing for increasingly dangerous encounters with dragons and other deadly threats.
