PlayStation Plus subscribers now have four more games to look forward to, thanks to announcements made at the latest State of Play event. Sony likes to stick to its established patterns when it comes to announcing new games for PS Plus, but there are times it breaks from the norm. For example, Sony has occasionally used its State of Play events to highlight new PlayStation Plus games coming soon.
As it stands, the PS Plus Extra and Premium September 2026 lineup remains mostly a mystery. We know that RuneScape: Dragonwilds is coming to PS Plus Extra on September 15, and we also know that a handful of games are leaving PS Plus that day, but otherwise, Sony has kept quiet about what to expect. Now, thanks to the latest PlayStation State of Play, PS Plus subscribers know of at least one other game coming this month, as well as titles that will be added later in the year.
List of Newly Announced PS Plus Games at the State of Play
- Mycopunk (Extra)
- Dino Crisis 2 (Premium)
- Mega Man X Command Mission (Premium)
- Ratchet & Clank (Premium)
It’s been confirmed that the classic PlayStation 2 game Mega Man X Command Mission is coming to PS Plus Premium later this month, though an exact date wasn’t specified. Later this year, PS Plus Premium subscribers can also look forward to checking out Dino Crisis 2 and the original Ratchet & Clank. And finally, Mycopunk, a 4-player co-op looter-shooter, was also confirmed for the PS Plus lineup. Already available on Steam, Mycopunk will be making its PS5 debut through PS Plus, and so it could technically be considered a day one game. An exact release date for Mycopunk on PS5 wasn’t announced, but we do know that it’s coming later this year, and if the “Very Positive” overall rating on Steam is any indication, PS Plus subscribers should be in for a treat.

PS Plus Extra subscribers will get access to Mycopunk, but those that want to play it and the three other games announced at the State of Play will need to make sure they are signed up for the Premium tier. The PS Plus Premium tier includes everything that’s in the Essential and Extra tiers, plus access to old-school games from the PS1, PS2, PSP, and PS3 eras. Some fans may be disappointed that no new PSP games were confirmed for Premium during the State of Play, as the handheld’s library has been largely neglected compared to other platforms, but there’s still some exciting stuff on the way.
Dino Crisis 2 is an action-focused follow-up to the OG PS1 survival-horror dinosaur game. Dino Crisis 2 is quite the departure from the original game in many ways, yet still retains enough of its DNA to be considered a worthy successor. Ratchet & Clank, meanwhile, is an all-time PlayStation classic, delivering an excellent 3D platforming/third-person shooter adventure that kickstarted one of Sony’s greatest franchises. It’s likely, but unconfirmed, that Ratchet & Clank will support all the fancy features of PS Plus Premium, including trophies, but fans shouldn’t hold their breath for the same to be true for Dino Crisis 2 and Mega Man X Command Mission as Capcom games on PS Plus have skipped trophy support so far.
Regardless, it was clear from the State of Play that there will be a lot for PS Plus subscribers to look forward to in the weeks and months ahead. The full lineup of new PS Plus Extra and Premium games coming in September 2026 should be announced on Wednesday, September 9, so fans should stay tuned for more information on that front.
