The PlayStation Plus Extra catalog expands on Tuesday, April 21, with X new games, including Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, The Crew Motorfest, and Football Manager 26. It’s interesting, if nothing else, to see Horizon Zero Dawn listed here for PS Plus with the recent addition of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, another major first-party title. It remains to be seen if it keeps adding these first-party games or if this is largely a coincidence.
The upcoming selection of games is available to anyone with a PS Plus subscription to either the Extra or Premium tiers, with the latter including the Classics catalog and additional perks. There’s also the PS Plus Essential tier, which is required to play online (sans free-to-play multiplayer games), and it includes a few additional bonus games every month too. Right now, the PS Plus free games for April 2026 include Lords of the Fallen (PS5), Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream (PS5), and Tomb Raider I-III Remastered (PS5/PS4)

The complete list of PS Plus Extra games this month is Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, The Crew Motorfest, Football Manager 26, Warriors: Abyss, Squirrel with a Gun, The Casting of Frank Stone, and Monster Train. That’s a total of 7 new games for PS Plus Extra subscribers, while Wild Arms 4 will be made available in the PS Plus Premium Classics catalog.
The headlining trio of games hits a major first-party title and two relatively niche genres. Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered brings the visuals more in line with Horizon Forbidden West, complete with lighting, texture, animation, mocap, audio, and accessibility improvements. Aloy’s journey otherwise needs no introduction. Meanwhile, The Crew Motorfest is an open-world arcade racing game set on a Hawaii-inspired island, and Football Manager 26 is a soccer management simulation game where players control every aspect of a club.
As for the other titles, Warriors: Abyss is a roguelike hack-and-slash game where players face endless enemies in procedural dungeons, Squirrel with a Gun is chaotic sandbox action game that is summarized by its title, The Casting of Frank Stone is a horror adventure game set in the Dead by Daylight universe, and Monster Train is a deck-building game where players defend a train from invading forces. Wild Arms 4, for PS Plus Premium users, is a story of identity and war.

If these games don’t really vibe with subscribers, the PS Plus benefits don’t end with one monthly release. Not only is Time Crisis confirmed for PS Plus Premium in May, but fans can expect the PS Plus free games for next month to be revealed on April 29. There’ll also be new PS Plus Extra games revealed and released next month. Not to mention, sometimes there are additional freebies for PS Plus subscribers.
