PS Plus Premium has just added a free trial for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, the remastered version of one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2020. PS Plus Premium subscribers can test The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered for two hours before deciding whether to keep the game.
PS Plus Premium subscribers have an extensive catalog of games to enjoy while they’re available on the service. However, in addition to games, one of the benefits of subscribing to the service is the ability to play trials on some selected titles. Unlike demos, trials function like full games, providing players with trophies and allowing the save from the trial version to be carried over to the purchased game. Many titles that offer trials can be played for one to five hours, letting players experience a game before deciding to invest in it. Recently, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League joined PS Plus Premium, allowing more players to try out the controversial game.

Players can test Naughty Dog’s acclaimed survival game for two hours before making a decision. PS Plus Premium is the highest tier of Sony’s subscription services. While PS Plus Essentials provides subscribers three, sometimes four, monthly games, PS Plus Extra and Premium have a catalog of PS4 and PS5 games for download. Additionally, the latter allows streaming PS3 games, downloading and playing PS1, PS2, and PSP games, and time-limited trials of various releases. Several of PlayStation’s best games have graced the Plus Extra and Premium services.
On the other hand, like most gaming subscription services, the games that make up this catalog have an expiration date. In May, a total of 34 games will leave PS Plus Extra. Among these are several Final Fantasy games, all the Darksiders titles, and even Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition, a Sony first-party title. The advantage of subscription services, like the trial, is that players can try out games while in the catalog, because once they leave, they’ll need to purchase them separately.
