PS Plus Subscribers Have 5 Co-Op Games to Look Forward to on December 16

PlayStation Plus subscribers that are signed up for the Extra or Premium tier of the service have five co-op games to look forward to on Tuesday, December 16. December 16 is when the next PlayStation Plus update goes live, giving subscribers brand-new games to play across the Extra and Premium tiers.

When the next PS Plus update goes live on December 16, subscribers can look forward to eight games on the Extra tier and one game on the Premium tier. The new PS Plus Extra games on December 16 include Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Cat Quest 3, Granblue Fantasy: Relink, LEGO Horizon Adventures, Paw Patrol: Grand Prix, Paw Patrol World, Planet Coaster 2, and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Out of these, five have notable co-op modes, so PS Plus subscribers looking for something to play with their friends this holiday season are in luck.

Every Monthly Game Added To PS Plus (Updated For December 2025)

New monthly PlayStation Plus games! Sony is always adding new goodies to its subscription service across all three tiers. Here are ALL of them.

The co-op games in question are Cat Quest 3, Granblue Fantasy: Relink, LEGO Horizon Adventures, PAW Patrol World, and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Cat Quest 3 is an action-RPG where players explore a pirate-themed world full of cats. It can be played entirely in local co-op and is definitely a fun time. It’s not a terribly long game, but it has enough worthwhile content to make getting 100% completion worth it for sure.

New Co-Op Games Coming to PS Plus Soon

  • Cat Quest 3
  • Granblue Fantasy: Relink
  • LEGO Horizon Adventures
  • PAW Patrol World
  • Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is also an action-RPG, and while it doesn’t have full-blown co-op, it does feature co-op missions for players to unlock. LEGO Horizon Adventures, meanwhile, is playable from start to finish in co-op, offering a family-friendly retelling of the Horizon Zero Dawn storyline.

Speaking of family friendly, upcoming PS Plus game PAW Patrol World is also co-op, though it will likely only appeal to young gamers or people that need something to play with their kids. It’s a breezy free roaming experience with some fun to be had. PAW Patrol: Grand Prix, a racing game based on the franchise, features multiplayer as well. The games feature super easy trophies, so if nothing else, trophy hunters can play through them to bag some more easy Platinum trophies.

Finally, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is joining the PS Plus lineup on December 16. A Soulslike game, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is tough as nails, but players have the option of summoning in friends to help, not unlike FromSoftware’s games. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty earned mostly positive reviews at the time of its release and should make a great addition to the PS Plus lineup come December 16.

There Are Already Great Co-Op Games on PS Plus

It’s nice that a fresh batch of co-op games are coming to PS Plus on December 16, but it’s worth pointing out that the service already has plenty of solid games that you can play with your friends. In fact, earlier this year, sci-fi survival game Abiotic Factor was added to PS Plus Extra as a day one game, as was FBC: Firebreak.

There are many great co-op games on PS Plus spread across the Extra and Premium tiers. Some of the games are local co-op and others are online-only, but the fact that they are on PS Plus means relatively easy access. And come December 16, there will be even more co-op games to add to the pile.
