PlayStation Plus subscribers have an extra freebie that they can claim at no additional cost right now. While there are all kinds of different perks associated with PlayStation Plus, the service’s main selling points are its online multiplayer features and the free games associated with its Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers.

Essential is the base tier of PlayStation Plus, and it gives subscribers a batch of free games at the start of every month that vary dramatically in scope and genre. The Extra tier gives subscribers access to a bunch of PS4 and PS5 games that rotate in and out of availability, while the Premium tier includes all of that plus classic games from the PS1, PS2, PSP, and PS3 eras. The latest PS Plus freebie is available to subscribers across all three tiers, and is available to claim right now.

  • 2WXP Token (1 Hour)

A brand-new Call of Duty: Warzone DLC pack is available for PS Plus subscribers right now. No expiration date has been announced, but subscribers should still hop on their PlayStation consoles and claim it ASAP. Dubbed the Call of Duty: Warzone – PlayStation Plus Pack 7, the free download includes two Operator skins, four weapon blueprints, a finishing move, a weapon charm, an emote, an equipment skin, a calling card, an emblem, two weapon stickers, and a one-hour 2WXP Token. These items can also be used in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, for those interested. It’s 100% free to anyone that has a PS Plus subscription, so subscribers might as well claim it while they still can.

When they hop on to claim their free Call of Duty items, PS Plus subscribers should also make sure that they have claimed the latest free games as well. Until August 3, PS Plus subscribers can claim three games at no additional cost in the form of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2023), For the King 2, and CrossCode. I can personally vouch for CrossCode being a solid time, and there’s plenty of fun to be had in For the King 2, especially if you are looking to play co-op. Modern Warfare 3 is one of the worst Call of Duty games in recent memory, but it still has its moments, and is definitely worth a download through PS Plus while it’s still available.

This Call of Duty: Warzone free DLC pack is also available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

The next batch of free PS Plus games will go live on Tuesday, August 4. On that day, PS Plus subscribers will have a day one multiplayer game to claim in Big Walk, plus Dying Light 2: Stay Human – Reloaded Edition and Signalis. Dying Light 2 and Signalis should especially appeal to horror fans. The former is an open world action-RPG mixed with survival-horror elements, while Signalis is a stylized sci-fi game that takes direct inspiration from genre classics. These games will be available for PS Plus subscribers to claim until August 31, and as long as you have a subscription, you get to keep them forever.

Those who are signed up for the Extra and Premium tiers have even more content to dive into. New PS Plus Extra and Premium games were just added the other day, and even more are on deck for August. What these games will be remains to be seen, but PS Plus subscribers should have no shortage of games and other free content to keep them busy in the meantime.
