PS5 Has 8 Big Games Releasing in March 2026

PlayStation 5 gamers have at least eight big new games to look forward to in April 2026. The PlayStation 5 has had a busy 2026 so far, mainly thanks to third-party games. The end of February saw the highest-rated new PS5 game of 2026 released to date in the form of Resident Evil Requiem, and there have been plenty of other multiplat, third-party releases on the system these last few months as well.

As far as first-party PlayStation games go, MLB The Show 26 recently released for the PS5, though it has earned a more mixed reception compared to previous games in the franchise. Looking ahead, there are some huge first-party PS5 games set to launch in the near future, with one really big one teed up for April 2026.

PS5 Gamers Have Wasted Absolutely Zero Time Pre-Ordering Xbox’s Starfield

PlayStation 5 gamers have jumped on the opportunity to pre-order Xbox’s Starfield after its recent announcement for the platform.

Saros is arguably the headlining new PS5 game coming in April 2026, set to launch exclusively for Sony’s latest console on April 30. Saros is the next game from Housemarque, the studio behind the critically-acclaimed roguelike game Returnal. Saros looks to be an evolution of Returnal‘s concept, with flashy, bullet hell-style combat mixed with a breathtaking sci-fi world and an engrossing narrative. What’s been shown of Saros so far has been incredibly impressive, and I personally can’t wait to try it for myself in April.

Upcoming PS5 Games for April 2026

  • Darwin’s Paradox – April 2
  • Starfield – April 7
  • Mouse: P.I. for Hire – April 16
  • Pragmata – April 17
  • Tides of Tomorrow – April 22
  • Neverness to Everness – April 29
  • Invincible VS – April 30
  • Saros – April 30

But while Saros may be getting the most attention from PS5 owners when it comes to the April 2026 new releases, it’s far from the only game launching next month. The month will get started with a brand-new release from Konami launching on April 2. Titled Darwin’s Paradox, Konami’s new game is a side-scrolling platformer where players take on the role of an octopus. Trailers shown so far have highlighted the game’s quirky vibes, and it looks like it will be a fun time for platformer fans.

Five days later on April 7, PS5 gamers will get the chance to play Starfield. Developed by Bethesda, Starfield is a massive open world sci-fi game that effectively takes the game mechanics from titles like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls and puts them in space. Starfield‘s PS5 launch will coincide with a huge new update called Free Lanes that revamps the game by adding big new features, with a paid expansion called Terran Armada dropping the same day. Starfield has been console exclusive to Xbox Series X/S for years, but PS5 gamers will be able to play a bigger and potentially better version of the game right out of the box.

Then, on April 16, PS5 gamers will get to play Mouse: P.I. for Hire, an FPS with a unique art style that resembles classic cartoons. Mouse: P.I. for Hire was once set for a March 2026 release but was delayed to April, so hopefully it is worth the wait. Conversely, one of the April 2026 PS5 games is actually releasing earlier than originally expected. Capcom has moved Pragmata‘s release date up to April 17, meaning fans won’t have to wait as long to see if the company’s new sci-fi shooter game lives up to expectations.

On April 22, PS5 gamers can check out Tides of Tomorrow, an intriguing new game published by THQ Nordic. Tides of Tomorrow is all about exploring an ocean planet with the ability to see how other players interacted with the world. What other players do in their own games of Tides of Tomorrow impacts other players’ games, influencing NPC reactions and potentially making things harder or easier for everyone else. It’s a fascinating idea, and it will be interesting to see if it can stick the landing.

There will also be a new Diablo 4 expansion released in April, with Lord of Hatred launching on April 28.

Tides of Tomorrow and all the other games mentioned so far are paid releases, but a big new free-to-play game is also hitting the PS5 in April. Neverness to Everness is an open world action-RPG with a gacha system that has often been described as an anime take on Grand Theft Auto. Whether it lives up to that promise remains to be seen, but PS5 gamers can try for free on April 29.

And finally, there’s Invincible VS. The hit Prime TV adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s comic book is in the midst of its fourth season, which will be wrapping up about a week before the video game launches. Invincible VS is a fighting game that pits the franchise’s characters against each other in action-packed battles.
