Resident Evil Requiem Amiibos Officially Revealed

Resident Evil Requiem has officially revealed its Amiibo during the latest Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, along with their uses in-game. Resident Evil Requiem is swiftly approaching its February 27 release date, bringing us news of returning characters, reintroduced mechanics, and vague story beats in the months approaching its release. This latest entry into the decade-spanning franchise has promised the best of both worlds for each side of the community, with Grace Ashcroft encapsulating the slow-burn survival horror that brought the series its initial success, and Leon Kennedy returning to Resident Evil 4‘s more action-oriented style. Along with these many goodies, fans of Nintendo’s Amiibo can also rejoice as Resident Evil Requiem will have its own figures.

Amiibo figures came to fruition during the run of the Wii U, and more specifically, Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U, allowing players to use them for in-game goods or simply to display. Even though some Amiibo can be extremely pricey, with the most expensive Amiibos ever going past the $1,000 price tag, the figures have maintained a steady amount of popularity among Nintendo fans. Resident Evil Requiem is the next game to get its very own Amiibo figures.

Resident Evil Requiem is Bringing Back Ink Ribbons and Limited Saves, But Don’t Stress About It

Capcom confirms that Resident Evil Requiem is bringing back limited saves through the return of the classic ink ribbon system, but it’s not required.

Leon S. Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft Amiibo Revealed

During the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, Resident Evil Requiem‘s two Amiibo figures of Leon S. Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft were finally revealed for a Summer 2026 release. Similar to games like Metroid Prime 4 that locked things behind Amiibo, the purpose of these Resident Evil Requiem Amiibo isn’t just to inhabit your display shelves. Instead, they also serve the function of providing in-game weapon skins, of which a neon-style skin was revealed in the announcement.

Following the news that Resident Evil Requiem won’t have a collector’s edition, many fans were disappointed in not having something collectible to display, but these Amiibo seem an apt replacement. Similar to all the other Amiibo lines that are ranged, great detail and care have been put into the figures to appease the most devoted of fans. Even if fans were to receive a figure with an issue, it may not be such a bad thing, as various Amiibos with defects in the past have been sold for amounts over ten-times the original retail value. With this being the Resident Evil series’ first venture into Amiibo, it’s safe to say these figures may sell out fast.

Those who miss out on Resident Evil Requiem‘s Amiibo figures may not have to worry, as select Amiibo have been restocked in the past, and perhaps this third-party game could have the same luck if they prove popular enough. With the figures having strong designs, along with the Resident Evil series having such a strong following outside of Nintendo, this line of Amiibo may prove to be one of the most popular yet. Only time will tell how these Amiibo turn out, and given the fact that they don’t release until Summer 2026, perhaps the hype may have died down by then. Either way, Resident Evil has definitely had a great first attempt at Amiibo figures.
