Starting today, you can pre-order a big box of GTA-related stuff via Rockstar’s store. This is the newly announced GTA 6: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection. It costs $400 and includes a ton of Vice City-themed goodies and merch, all packaged up in a big box. It also doesn’t include the game.
On Thursday, Rockstar revealed the Vice City Collection as part of its ongoing marketing push for GTA 6, likely to be this year’s biggest video game release and one of the biggest game launches in history. However, this new box is truly only for the superfans who have money to burn and, importantly, have already pre-ordered a copy of the actual game, which is set to launch on November 19. That’s because this $400 box of stuff, which arrives on the same day as GTA 6, doesn’t include the game. As Rockstar points out on the store page, it is sold separately.

Rockstar says that much of the content in the box is inspired by “Leonida’s hit TV show, Macca the Gator.” We’ve seen references to this fictional, in-universe TV show before on T-shirts and elsewhere in pre-release trailers and screenshots. I’m a big GTA sicko, and even I’m not really excited about these characters, as I’ve yet to see the show, which presumably will be watchable in GTA 6. Maybe the show will be really funny, and I’ll want a Chunkee the Manatee shot glass. Can’t say yet.
The more enticing items in this collection are the ones clearly designed to attract GTA: Vice City fans, including a pin set featuring the characters from the show but contained in a case directly inspired by the classic game’s iconic cover. I’m also curious about the double-sided poster that includes a full map of Leonida. I love a good GTA paper map, something that has usually been included with all base copies of the game. I sure hope this $400 box of stuff isn’t the only way fans will be able to get a paper map of GTA 6‘s world.
There is something ironic about the fact that Grand Theft Auto 6 won’t get a physical disc release. But Take-Two and Rockstar are more than happy to sell players and fans $400 worth of other physical stuff related to GTA 6 instead, including this box and recently revealed PlayStation controllers that, admittedly, do look cool.
