According to the information being leaked, many Resident Evil projects are currently in production, including the series’ next mainline entry. Referred to by the codename Project Redlife, Resident Evil 10 is alleged to star returning heroine Claire Redfield. Along with the tenth game in the series, a few long-rumored Resident Evil remakes were mentioned by the leakers, including Resident Evil Code: Veronica, Resident Evil Zero, and the original Resident Evil. It’s claimed that RE1′s remake has been in pre-production since 2022 or 2023, but has only recently entered full production.
Regarding Capcom’s most recent Resident Evil release, the leaks have teased information about Requiem’s upcoming story DLC. Although a narrative expansion was previously confirmed by the game’s director, details of the expanded content have remained scarce. According to the leaked information, there are multiple story-based DLC packs on the way for Requiem, with the first set to feature fan-favorite super spy Ada Wong. Ada’s absence from Resident Evil Requiem’s base game has been a point of contention among many fans, and this DLC pack could help ease that frustration.
Though Resident Evil Requiem’s mini-game DLC has received mixed reviews so far, more narrative-focused content in the game’s hauntingly bleak world is sure to be warmly received by fans. Capcom may not be enthusiastic about its future plans possibly leaking, but if everything alleged in these posts is accurate, the company’s loyal supporters have plenty to be excited about for the rest of the year and beyond.
