A new leak from Honkai: Star Rail is teasing plenty of details about rumored upcoming character Jiaoqiu, revealing his element, Path, and in-game appearance. The debut of the HoYoverse sci-fi RPG’s newest world of Penacony has brought with it a plethora of new character releases. The launch of Version 2.2 earlier this week brought the highly-anticipated debut of Robin, coupled with a Honkai: Star Rail music video that has taken the community by storm. Now, leaks are hinting at another character coming from the Xianzhou Luofu.
While Jiaoqiu has yet to officially appear within Honkai: Star Rail‘s story, the character’s existence within the game has already been teased through numerous leaks. Jiaoqiu is expected to hail from the Xianzhou Luofu, with the world already welcoming several of Star Rail‘s most popular characters like Fu Xuan and Huohuo. Past leaks have also hinted at some details about his kit, suggesting he can shred an enemy’s defenses and increase the Fire damage that enemy receives. Star Rail‘s newest leaks are giving an even closer look at Jiaoqiu’s gameplay and appearance.

Honkai: Star Rail Leaks Jiaoqiu’s Kit, Appearance
A recent leak shared by prominent leaker SeeleLeaks is reportedly sharing details about Jiaoqiu’s upcoming appearance in Honkai: Star Rail. According to the post, Jiaoqiu will debut in Star Rail as a five-star Fire element character in the Nihility Path. He is said to be a Foxian using the same base model as Dan Heng and Aventurine, with Jiaoqiu’s kit focused around DEF reduction, buffing Ultimate damage, and small amounts of healing. The post also suggests that Jiaoqiu’s Eidolons may increase both his healing and provide further DEF shredding effects.
While the leak features several details about Jiaoqiu’s Honkai: Star Rail debut, the character has yet to be officially confirmed by HoYoverse. Jiaoqiu has not been mentioned in any in-game voicelines within Honkai: Star Rail, with leaks currently being the only proof of his existence. Jiaoqiu has also been confirmed to not be a part of the playable character lineup for Version 2.3, with HoYoverse officially revealing Firefly and Jade as the new characters for Honkai: Star Rail‘s next update. Jiaoqiu’s release window within Honkai: Star Rail is currently unknown.
The rumored release of Jiaoqiu follows several of Penacony’s most-anticipated characters throughout recent and future patches. Version 2.2 welcomed the previously mentioned Robin to Honkai: Star Rail‘s roster, with fellow five-star character Boothill debuting during the second half of the update. Several members of Penacony’s cast have also been teased for future playability within the RPG, including Oak Family leader Sunday and Duke Inferno playing major roles within the world’s story. Honkai: Star Rail looks to have multiple new characters on the way, both from Penacony and beyond.
