While marketing has ramped up compared to previous weeks and months, Rockstar still has a lot of secrets regarding the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto 6, including its exact cast list. Said secrets presumably didn’t stop actor Stephen Root from confirming he plays Brian Heder in GTA 6, nor has it stopped internet sleuths from trying to figure out who these actors are. And fans have long thought that Manni L. Perez is the actor behind Lucia in GTA 6, with the actor seemingly fanning the flames too.
It’s worth noting that, despite the Perez is Lucia theory going back 2 years, she has never confirmed nor denied her role in GTA 6. On the one hand, denying the role would put these rumors to rest, but on the other, she would also be turning down a lot of internet popularity (which would be beneficial for her career). It is not confirmed that Perez is Lucia, either way, but she has seemingly commented on her popularity because of GTA 6.
Manni Perez is Back on Instagram, Gains Tons of Followers Due to GTA 6
In the past, Perez had deleted her Instagram account but officially returned to the social media platform in early September. The timing could be coincidental, but given that GTA 6‘s release date is not far away now, that feels unlikely. Nonetheless, Perez’s posts have gotten tons of attention because of GTA 6, and she recently commented on that. After seemingly receiving 18 million views over a 30-day period (keeping in mind nothing about her GTA 6 role is confirmed), she made the statement:
“I don’t know what that means.”

Her response has now become another talking point among fans trying to connect her to Lucia, as it’s obviously a bit of tongue in cheek. As aforementioned, Perez’s name has been linked to Lucia for years despite Rockstar Games never officially confirming her role in GTA 6, and it’s only exploded in popularity since then. Fans have pointed to her previous work with Rockstar, including voice work for an NPC in GTA Online’s Casino Heist update, while comparisons between her voice, interviews, and Lucia’s dialogue have helped fuel the theory. Her Instagram activity has also attracted even more attention.
Stephen Root’s confirmation has only given the community another reason to examine the game’s rumored cast. Root openly discussing Brian Heder doesn’t mean Perez canor will do the same with Lucia for GTA 6, as it is believed he was not supposed to discuss it either, especially while Rockstar’s secrecy surrounding GTA 6 remains in place. The actress’s response also doesn’t confirm the role, even with the sudden surge of attention or if legitimately surprised. Other notable appearances include the following movies and TV shows:
