A recent report may have just pulled back the curtain on Bloober Team’s upcoming Silent Hill remake. This report claims that Silent Hill is currently targeting a 2027 release window, and reveals two of its alleged cast members.
Bloober Team experienced something of a trial by fire when it was tasked with remaking not just one of the most beloved Silent Hill entries, but one of the most acclaimed survival horror games of all time. It seems Bloober Team passed that trial, with Silent Hill 2 earning a very positive reception from critics upon its October 2024 launch, and just eight months later, Konami officially announcing a remake of the very first entry in the Silent Hill franchise, with Bloober Team once again set to helm the project.
Silent Hill Remake Leak Reveals Cast Details and Target Release Window
A recent report from MP1st claims to shed new light on Bloober Team’s upcoming Silent Hill remake. This report states that the remake is referred to internally as ‘Project G’, but externally, it’s called ‘Project Noise’. It’s also claimed that Silent Hill is currently targeting a 2027 release window, though MP1st is quick to remind readers that production schedules can change for all manner of reasons, and that this 2027 window is simply a target for now and not a guaranteed launch window by any means.
MP1st then reveals two actors who have reportedly been cast in the Silent Hill remake. First up is Gabrielle Fritz, an English-German actor who’s worked on video games like Battlefield 2042, Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, The Tomorrow Children, and EVE: Valkyrie. Next is Jade Matthew, an English actor who’s appeared in EastEnders, Doctors, The Archers, and a range of other TV shows and podcast series.
MP1st says that it couldn’t confirm who these actors were playing in the Silent Hill remake, but does present a few possible roles given the limited cast of the original 1999 game. It’s possible that these two actors could be playing Lisa Garland, Cybil Bennett, or Dahlia Gillespie. There’s currently no word on who might be playing Silent Hill 1 protagonist Harry Mason.
After a decade-long hiatus, the Silent Hill franchise has returned in full force over the last few years. While Silent Hill: Ascension and The Short Message were somewhat lackluster projects, the franchise finally received its triumphant comeback in the form of Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake, which earned a Top Critic Average of 87 on OpenCritic and sold over 5 million copies as of January 2026. This critical and commercial success has carried forward with Silent Hill f and the recently released Silent Hill: Townfall. And if series producer Motoi Okamoto’s comments from August are genuine, then Silent Hill fans can expect a new release every year moving forward.
