Monday, May 11, marked the official departure date for the third ARC Raiders Expedition, which means players should have been rewarded with the additional Skill Points that were unlocked during the damage challenge over the last two weeks. Unfortunately, many ARC Raiders players have jumped on ready to start fresh, and have been greeted with missing Skill Points for their new Raider. Embark has since responded to the issue and confirmed that an investigation is underway.

While other titles have been known to force progression resets, often every month or two, Embark opted to do things differently with its newest title. Instead of putting everybody on a level playing field, ARC Raiders has an Expedition system that gives players the choice to reset their progress in exchange for some in-game rewards and benefits. To take part, players must first build their Expedition Caravan, which will be used to carry their Raider out of the Rust Belt for good. It requires tons of materials to be contributed to it, but once it’s complete, players can sign up for the Expedition and reset their progress.

ARC Raiders Shares New Anti-Cheat Update Amid Growing Player Concerns

As concerns continue to grow, ARC Raiders developer Embark Studios provides the community with a new anti-cheat update and reveals its future plans.

Embark Responds to Missing Skill Points After Latest ARC Raiders Expedition

The third ARC Raiders Expedition has officially been and gone, so anybody who missed the departure will now need to wait for the fourth optional reset, which is expected to be in 2 months. However, those who did take part are experiencing a serious issue, as the earned Skill Points that should have been awarded to players after the reset are mysteriously missing. Not all players have been affected, with some still receiving all five, but others haven’t been so lucky. Thankfully, Embark has addressed the issue with a new statement on the official ARC Raiders Discord. According to a community manager at the studio, Embark is aware of the missing Skill Points issue after completing the Expedition, and the team is “actively investigating.” Further updates will be shared once Embark has more information on the matter.

Anybody who has jumped in, only to find they are missing some Skill Points, doesn’t need to panic, as they should hopefully be restored within the coming hours or days. It’s unclear what caused the bug, but Embark did recently make a major change to how ARC Raiders‘ Expedition Skill Points are earned. For the game’s first Expedition, players needed to accumulate a value of 5 million Stash/Coin value in order to receive the five extra Skill Points up for grabs. This was later reduced to 3 million for Expedition 2, but Embark then opted to remove the requirement entirely this time around. Instead, players now needed to earn 100,000 damage between April 28 and May 11 if they wanted all five Skill Points.

This change didn’t go down well with the ARC Raiders community, as the window to complete the challenge was initially much shorter. As this major adjustment was also only communicated to players just days before the Expedition Window opened, fans blasted the studio, noting how not everybody has the time to jump in and earn 100,000 damage in just five days. In response, Embark extended the window to just under two weeks, giving players more than enough time to earn every Skill Point available for Expedition 3.

This now marks ARC Raiders‘ third optional reset since its release in October 2025, and while the next Expedition is expected to take place in 60 days’ time, what the future holds for the shooter is currently unclear. At the start of the year, Embark shared a new ‘Escalation’ roadmap for the first half of 2026, detailing four major content updates between January and April. With Riven Tides now available, the roadmap has officially come to an end. But with Embark confirming plans to support the game for the next 10 years, there’s a good chance that a second update roadmap for the rest of 2026 could be shared in the coming weeks.
