Someone Trapped Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom’s Ganondorf Inside A Hamster Wheel

Someone Trapped Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom’s Ganondorf Inside A Hamster Wheel

It’s been a few years now since I felt the need to compulsively check all the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom subreddits daily to see if anyone had made a wild and wacky build worth writing about for a website. That ship has mostly sailed. I thought I’d seen it all. But I stay subscribed to the HyruleEngineering subreddit anyway, and every once in a while, something crosses my homepage that makes me absolutely lose it.

Anyway, here’s Ganondorf on a hamster wheel:

The actual build is pretty simple: it’s just a bunch of those wheeled Zonai carts hooked up in a circle, with a wheel and some hover stone in the middle. I’m baffled as to how it actually works, though. How is the wheel connected to the center device? Also, how did the creator even get Ganondorf in there, mid-fight? Why does he seem incapable of escaping his new, perpetual motion prison? I’m flummoxed! No one in the comments seems to be able to explain it. A quick glance through the creator’s post history suggests that they are well-versed in glitch exploitation, so it’s possible there’s some of that going on. They also seem to really like making airplanes, which is neither here nor there, just kind of fun.

Anyway, this has made my day. Everything about this is a delight. The premise, the music, the little dance Link is doing, the fact that they specifically waited until the phase of the fight where Ganondorf extends his health bar across the screen, all of it. I hope you enjoy it too.
