Adrian has been writing, critiquing, and thinking about games since he first picked up an N64 controller many years ago. These days he writes reviews, news, and features for Game Rant and believes games should be held to the same artistic standards as books, movies, and television shows. When he’s not writing for Game Rant, Adrian writes even more reviews for Sirus Gaming and likes to get nerdy about tech and retro games at HackerNoon. Outside the gaming world, he spends plenty of time enjoying movies or listening to every genre of music under the sun. Follow him on Twitter for nonsense tweets likely related to Dragon Ball Z, or check out Breadhouse Records for some tunes.
New screenshots reportedly taken from Ubisoft’s long-awaited Splinter Cell remake have surfaced online, providing an early look at environments from Sam Fisher’s upcoming return. Despite being announced roughly five years ago, information about the Splinter Cell remake has remained extremely limited as development continues.
Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell Remake Appears to Leak Online
In a recently published report by MP1st, newly uncovered screenshots reportedly taken from an early build of Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell remake have surfaced through the portfolio of a developer who worked on the project. The images appear to date back to at least 2024 and show a recreation of Tbilisi, Georgia, one of the key locations from the original game, where Sam is sent to investigate the disappearance of two CIA operatives. Leaked materials show an urban courtyard, storefronts, graffiti, political posters, and other environmental details that closely resemble the setting and story context of the 2002 release. Some screenshots appear in uncharacteristically bright lighting despite the original mission being associated with nighttime stealth, though that may simply reflect that these are environment showcase images rather than representative gameplay. However, due to the age of the leaked images from the Splinter Cell remake, fans should note that they may not accurately reflect what the finished remake will ultimately look like.
