Honkai: Star Rail recently began its new patch cycle with Planacardia, and several new characters are expected to debut. After developer HoYoverse extended the duration of Version 3.8 by two weeks, Honkai: Star Rail finally launched its 4.0 update on February 12. The patch introduces Yao Guang, the game’s first character to follow the playable Path of Elation. She’ll be followed by Sparxie in the second phase of Version 4.0. Players will meet the two in-game when they step into Planacardia, Honkai: Star Rail‘s latest explorable world. The game has also confirmed Ashveil, Nihilux, and Evanescia for upcoming updates, as well as new playable forms of fan-favorite characters Silver Wolf and Blade. During Honkai: Star Rail‘s latest Japanese livestream, developer HoYoverse shared three codes that players can redeem for up to 300 Stellar Jades. The codes also provide valuable EXP resources like Refined Aether and Traveler’s Guide. Once players redeem these Honkai: Star Rail rewards, the items will be sent to their in-game mail automatically. It is worth noting that these codes are time-limited, so fans should try to redeem them as soon as possible.

The free Stellar Jades may come in handy for fans, considering that Honkai: Star Rail‘s Version 4.0 banners feature eight 5-Star characters. Aside from Yao Guang and Sparxie, the patch will rerun powerful units like Hysilens and Sparkle. The second half will also feature Rappa’s first-ever rerun since her debut in November 2024, with many players excited about her return. Honkai: Star Rail‘s 4.0 update is arguably the game’s most rewarding patch yet. Simply by logging in, players will receive a new skin for the 5-Star character Ruan Mei, 20 Special Pass, and 1,600 Stellar Jades. This adds up to 30 free pulls to commemorate the arrival of Planacardia.
