A Honkai: Star Rail leak claimed that the next phase of its Fate/Stay Night collaboration won’t be happening in the next update. First released in Version 3.4, the first part of the Honkai: Star Rail x Fate/Stay Night crossover introduced Saber and Archer as playable characters, along with an event inspired by the Holy Grail War.
Previous leaks have reported that the next Fate/Stay Night event in Honkai: Star Rail would feature Rin and Gilgamesh as playable characters. Both Saber and Archer were well-received by avid players and are still considered S-tier characters in the game, so many are already looking forward to Rin and Gilgamesh’s gameplay design. Rumors have also claimed that the second phase of the Fate collaboration would come out in Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3 this coming June.

Honkai: Star Rail Might Not Release the Next Fate/Stay Night Event in Version 4.3
- Rumored new Honkai: Star Rail x Fate/Stay Night characters: Rin and Gilgamesh
Leaker Mortis claimed in a new post that the initial report about the Fate/Stay Night crossover coming out in Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3 was apparently fake. Unfortunately, they didn’t provide details about the rumored release date of the collaboration event. The news surprised many Honkai: Star Rail fans who were anticipating to pull for Rin and/or Gilgamesh in a couple of months. Meanwhile, some said that they expected the news because HoYoverse didn’t tease any upcoming major collaborations during Honkai: Star Rail‘s Special Program stream earlier this month.
With Rin and Gilgamesh reportedly not launching in Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3, players could look forward to Mortenax Blade, which is Blade’s alternate Fire-type form following the Path of Nihility. Honkai: Star Rail is known for releasing alternate versions of its characters, which are usually 5-star forms of 4-star units. The current arc in Planarcadia has been introducing a number of them lately, including the newly-released 5-star Honkai: Star Rail character Silver Wolf LV 999.
In the Fate/Stay Night universe, both Rin and Gilgamesh play important roles in the story. Rin is one of the protagonists and also Archer’s Master in the Fifth Holly Grail War, which could make her a good pairing for Archer if they’re placed in a team together. Meanwhile, Gilgamesh is the main antagonist and considered one of the most powerful characters in the franchise. His expertise in combat would make him a great DPS character in Honkai: Star Rail, potentially a Destruction or Hunt-type unit who could wipe out enemies in just a few blows.

Honkai: Star Rail has been busy with other exciting collaborations, such as a potential anime project with Jujutsu Kaisen studio MAPPA. If confirmed, this would be HoYoverse’s second major anime after the Genshin Impact series that’s currently being made by ufotable. Honkai: Star Rail also worked with Hatsune Mike for a special song titled “I’ll make you HoYoHoYo” as part of Silver Wolf LV 999’s promotion. With the Planarcadia arc having Elation-heavy themes focused on entertainment, fans could expect more surprises in future updates.
