Steam Users Can Claim a 10/10 Game for Free on May 13

On May 13, PC users will be able to claim a free Steam Key for one of the best immersive sims on the market, 2016’s Dishonored 2. However, it should be noted that the source for this giveaway is not Steam’s Free-to-Keep Promotion or Epic Games Store’s giveaway, but tech company Lenovo via the Legion Gaming Community.

Indeed, Steam and Epic Games Store are some of the best and most reliable ways to claim free games for PC, but they are far from the only ones. Lenovo has been giving away free games monthly, if not every two weeks or so, and sometimes these games are on the “bigger” end of free game giveaways. Whereas Steam and EGS give PC users a few days at the very least, though, the Legion Gaming Community gives players a very brief queue on one specific day, with May 13 being the date to claim Dishonored 2 completely free of charge.

This Steam Key giveaway for Dishonored 2 begins on Wednesday, May 13, at 9 am PT/12 pm ET, and will continue until Lenovo runs out of Steam keys. Fans should line up for the queue ASAP to ensure they get in and can claim their key before supplies run out; however, it’s also recommended that fans keep an eye on the giveaway in the lead-up to it. The Legion Gaming Community is trustworthy and an easy way to snag game keys, but sometimes technical difficulties arise and push it back. At least as of this writing, the confirmed date for this giveaway is May 13. There are a few steps to follow, but Dishonored 2 is worth it.

• This free Key Drop event begins at 9 am PT/12 pm ET on May 13.
• You must have an account on the Legion Gaming Community website.
  • Your LGC account must be linked to your Steam Account
  • You must have spent at least $5 on that Steam Account
• Join the Key Drop Queue ahead of time.
• Once through the queue, you have ten minutes to receive a key voucher.
• You must then redeem the voucher through Lenovo’s partner, Gamesplanet.
• Once that has been redeemed, navigate to Steam and redeem as you regularly would.
• Steam –> Games –> Activate a Product on Steam
• We recommend setting up accounts on LGC and Gamesplanet before the event to expedite the process.

For those unfamiliar, Dishonored 2 is Arkane Studios’ second stab at the franchise and is as solid as the first game. In it, players must navigate a world where magic and industry collide, where players can do just about anything they can imagine thanks to its nature as an immersive sim game. Players can stealth through everything, make full use of its solid combat, or find a happy medium between the two. However, players should know that Dishonored 2 remembers all that they do, and Dishonored 2’s story reacts to the outcomes of each hand-crafted mission.

Dishonored 2 is sometimes underrated, but make no mistake, there’s not a better stealth game, a better immersive sim, or any real game to give it a run for its money in its niche. As such, getting it for free is absolutely the icing on the cake here.
