Steam users can claim the 4-player roguelike game Swapmeat for free right now, but they need to act fast. Swapmeat was first released in early access on Steam in 2025 before launching its 1.0 version in June 2026. Since then, it has maintained a high user score, with current ratings showing 86% positive reviews.
Swapmeat normally costs about $17 USD. It was developed by indie studio One More Game and has managed to snag some awards, including the Creative Overkill award at the 2024 Devcom Indie Awards. Visually, Swapmeat has a lot in common with other co-op indie games like Revenge of the Savage Planet. It is quirky, funny, and satirical in nature, but the intensity of its battles and hard-to-kill bosses add a contrasting quality that many roguelike fans are likely to enjoy. Some reviewers have also mentioned that Swapmeat takes a page or two from Risk of Rain 2‘s playbook, which might entice more gamers to check it out.
