Steam Users Have Less Than 48 Hours to Play These 3 Games for Free

Steam Users Have Less Than 48 Hours to Play These 3 Games for Free

Steam users can play three games for free this weekend, but only until Monday, May 4. The games included in this Steam free weekend promotion include No More Room in Hell 2, Victoria 3, and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Any players interested in checking out these games should do so ASAP, since there’s only a 48-hour time limit on these free promotions.

Valve’s popular storefront is notorious for offering two types of free promotions for users to take advantage of. Steam’s Free-to-Keep promotion gives users permanent access to games offered this way, whereas Steam’s Free Weekend games only give players temporary access to the games offered to give them a chance to try the game out before purchasing. Although these three games aren’t available for players to keep permanently, this 48-hour Free Weekend should allow players to sink plenty of time into some fantastic titles at no cost.

Steam Users Can Claim a 2025 Horror Game for Free and Keep It Forever

Steam’s latest giveaway on the Free-to-Keep Promotion is a 2025 horror game with solid, mostly positive reviews on the platform.

The first game available for Steam’s Free Weekend is No More Room in Hell 2, the 8-player zombie shooter from developer Torn Banner Studios. No More Room in Hell 2 is still currently in Early Access, and this Free Weekend promotion comes alongside the release of an exclusive preview of Survival mode and one of the maps planned for No More Room in Hell‘s 1.0 launch, slated for release this summer. With access to three playable characters, two different game modes, and the ability to earn tokens that unlock Early Access rewards at launch, now is a perfect time to try out No More Room in Hell 2.

No More Room in Hell 2 is also on sale for 35%, so players who enjoy the game’s free weekend can pick it up at a discount.

Also available for Steam users to try for free this weekend is Paradox Interactive’s grand strategy game Victoria 3. In Victoria 3, players can carve their own path through history as they play through the 19th century as any number of countries, choosing their economic, political, and civic direction as they manage the development of their chosen country. For strategy fans, history enthusiasts, or anyone looking to get immersed in complex game mechanics, Victoria 3 is worth checking out for free this weekend.

Victoria 3 is also on sale for 70%, so players who enjoy the game’s free weekend can pick it up at a discount.

Fans of Sonic the Hedgehog or arcade racers like Mario Kart can try out Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds for free on Steam this weekend as well. What separates Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds from competitors like Mario Kart, aside from the roster of SEGA characters, is the Travel Ring mechanic that lets players jump between dimensions during a race for a drastic mid-race location skip. Along with popular Sonic characters, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds also features guest characters like Joker from Persona 5, Ichiban Kasuga from Like a Dragon, and vocaloid Hatsune Miku.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is also on sale for 40%, so players who enjoy the game’s free weekend can pick it up at a discount.
