Steam Users Have Limited Time to Get 7 Great Games for Dirt Cheap

Steam Users Have Limited Time to Get 7 Great Games for Dirt Cheap

Steam users can buy 7 games with positive reviews across the board at a steep discount this week, ranging from beloved indie titles like Date Everything to major AAA games like Dead Space 2. In terms of reviews, the lowest this selection of game dips is Mostly Positive (70-79% positive reviews), most are Very Positive (80-94%), and 3 of them have Overwhelmingly Positive (95%+, 500+ submissions) on Steam.

Steam frequently makes games free via limited time deals, but of course, the company would never make money if it did that for every game on the storefront. The next best thing is to release discounts on games, making them incredibly cheap. Its selection of discounts this week ends on varying days, but if someone were to buy all of these games, they would be picking up 7 games that would normally sell at $169.93 for just $53.93 (plus taxes), representing savings of $116. At large, only two of these games cost more than $10 and all of them cost $15 or less.

The discounted games include Slay the Spire, Rain World, Dead Space, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, Wartales, Date Everything, and Into the Breach. The earliest of these deals expires on March 16, one expires on March 18, and three of them last until March 19. Specific expiration dates are listed below alongside a link to the Steam page.

Cheap Games on Steam This Week

The highest reviewed of the bunch, via Steam, is Slay the Spire, Rain World, and Dangaronpa 2. They are also among the cheapest of the bunch, discounted to $6.24, $7.49, and $1.99 respectively. Slay the Spire is perhaps the most iconic roguelike deckbuilder on the market, so that’s not too surprising. Those who haven’t checked it out should, and if they enjoy it, Slay the Spire 2 is currently available in Early Access. Rain World sees players step into the role of slugcat in a survival platformer and avoid hungry predators, while Dangaronpa 2 is an adventure game where players and their classmates must survive Monokuma’s murderous game.

While the above have Overwhelmingly Positive reviews in one regard or another, every discounted game has earned positive reviews. It’s all really a matter of personal preference. Instead of the above, for example, some fans may prefer the open-world RPG gameplay of Wartales, where players control a band of mercenaries as they seek wealth, new recruits, bounties, and the secrets that belong to the tomb of the ancients. Or perhaps they would prefer Date Everything, a dating sim where they can befriend, romance, or develop a hatred for the various items around their home—including Dorian the door.

Or perhaps someone prefers the AAA sci-fi shooter that is Dead Space 2. Reports indicate that a Dead Space 2 remake have been canceled, so if someone wants to follow the recent remake of Dead Space with the sequel, $3.99 is an incredible price for that game. Finally, Into the Breach is a turn-based strategy game where players control robots to fight against an alien threat. All in all, there’s a little something for everyone in these discounted games.

Whether someone adds 1 or all 7 games to their Steam libraries, there’s no denying these are some incredible deals. Sometimes cheap games on Steam are cheap for a lack of quality, but that cannot be said for any of these discounts.
