Steam Users Have Until April 13 to Claim 2024 Zombie Survival Game for Free

Steam Users Have Until April 13 to Claim 2024 Zombie Survival Game for Free

Steam users can pick up LivingForest, a 2024 zombie survival game from indie developer LivingEveryday, completely free of charge. Anyone looking to pick up this zombie title on Steam has until April 13 to do so as part of the platform’s Free to Keep promotion, a significant drop from its usual $15.99 price tag.

Gamers who keep an eye out will usually find something to claim in Steam’s Free to Keep promotion. There are usually a few titles on offer per week, but this is not set in stone when compared to something like the Epic Games Store’s weekly giveaway. Unlike the EGS offerings, Steam’s Free to Keep titles often focus on indie titles from smaller developers that gamers may not have heard of. Those willing to take a chance on Steam’s free games may find some diamonds in the rough, which is why it’s always worth it for users to add these titles to their libraries while they don’t cost anything.

Steam Users Have Until April 22 to Claim 8 Games Worth $244 for the Bargain Bin Price of $10

Steam deal offers 8 zombie co-op games for just $10, representing huge savings on action-packed multiplayer favorites.

LivingForest is Free on Steam

Steam users can grab LivingForest for free right now, a zombie survival title released in 2024 by developer LivingEveryday. It features a charming low-poly graphics style, and allows players to switch between first and third-person gameplay. The trailer showcases various biomes in LivingForest, as players scavenge for weapons, survive the elements, and fend off zombies and soldiers. Players can claim different quests, and even drive vehicles across the game world.

Players who want to grab LivingForest on Steam will need to act fast. This Free to Keep promotion is only active until April 13, which isn’t long at all before it becomes paid once more. The good news is that those who miss out can still grab the survival game at 80% off ($3.18) until April 23, but obviously, free is better than paying under any circumstances.

Reviews for LivingForest on Steam are mixed. Criticisms of the game include frustration with its many paid DLCs, which exclude much of the base game’s content. All the DLC is 80% off at the moment, but at full price, each pack costs $15.99. The number of additional content packs was described as “absurd” by one player. Because LivingForest is free, players can jump in and draw their own conclusions about the game without worrying about spending a cent. Its Steam player count is already at a new all-time high following the start of this promotion.

Apart from LivingForest, Steam users have a few different games they can grab for free right now. GGTech Studios’ eWorlds is free until April 16, after which it plans to move to a paid model. However, the only other official Steam Free to Keep promotion at the moment is Graveyard Keeper, which users can claim until April 13. This deal coincides with the recent announcement of Graveyard Keeper 2, allowing players to try out the original game before the sequel is released. These promotions are a prime example of why Steam users don’t necessarily have to spend big to build a sizable gaming library on PC.
