Steam Users Have Until April 9 to Claim First-Person Horror Game for Free

Steam users that want to add yet another free game to their digital libraries have until April 9 to snag the latest freebie. Steam users are treated to new free games on a regular basis, ensuring that PC gamers can obtain a rather sizable library of games without ever paying a dime.

Since the start of the new year, it’s seemed like the free Steam games have come at a faster rate than usual, with new games given away on a near-weekly basis. The free Steam games have all been mostly lower-profile titles, but a wide variety of genres have been represented, from racing games to arcade shooter games to horror games. The latest free game on Steam falls in the latter camp, offering a first-person horror experience at absolutely no cost to Steam users.

All the Free Games You Can Claim in April 2026

Steam, Epic, Amazon Luna, and more will be handing out free games in April, and you don’t want to miss out on any of them.

Chamber Survival is Free on Steam

From now until April 9 at 12:00pm CST, Chamber Survival is free to claim on Steam. First released in 2024, Chamber Survival is a horror game that tasks players with escaping from a room by finding and utilizing key items, all the while dealing with threats like zombies. The game doesn’t have enough reviews logged to form a consensus among Steam users, but most all the reviews recorded have been negative, so PC gamers should keep that in mind. Still, Chamber Survival is free right now, so there’s no harm in claiming it for your digital library and coming to your own conclusion about it. When Chamber Survival‘s free giveaway period is up, it will revert to its normal $15.99 asking price on Steam.

There Are Other Free PC Games Available to Claim Right Now

PC gamers that are willing to use the Epic Games Store have even more free games to claim. While Chamber Survival is the only free game on Steam at the time of this writing, there are currently at least three free games on the Epic Games Store right now. Two of the free Epic Games Store games are part of the usual weekly giveaways, while the third is a special bonus free game being given away on its own.

Current Epic Games Store Free Games

Until April 8, Epic Games Store users can snag Evergreen Valley for free. Evergreen Valley is a parkour adventure game set in a cozy village where players have to climb a bunch of floating objects to reach the very top of the structure. Anyone interested in that premise should be sure to claim Evergreen Valley while it’s still free on EGS.

Epic Games Store users can also claim Clone Drone in the Danger Zone, a voxel action game, as long as they do so by April 9 at 10:00am CST. At that point, party fighting game Prop Sumo will be made free, and it will be up for grabs until April 16. Prop Sumo is joined by visual novel game TOMAK: Save the Earth Regeneration, which is free right now and will be until both it and Prop Sumo are cycled out of the free games window on April 16.
