The latest Slaughter family killer has been revealed as Hands in a recent trailer for Texas Chain Saw Massacre, along with a new playable survivor, Maria, coming to the title on June 11. The one-minute video shows off some of their mechanics, but little has been confirmed. Hands is the seventh killer, excluding Grandpa, in Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
Hands was first teased as a Texas Chain Saw Massacre killer at the end of May. Not much was revealed about him, aside from his general appearance and that he wields a hammer. Speculation over his origins seemed to confirm that he is an original creation and not one of the characters from the 1974 The Texas Chain Saw Massacre movie.

10 Things The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Does Better Than Dead By Daylight
Dead by Daylight and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre are both asymmetrical horror games, but they both excel in different areas.
Gun Interactive released a trailer on social media showcasing potential game mechanics for Maria, a purchasable survivor, and Hands. The video depicts a blood-covered Maria being found in the Slaughter residence. As soon as she’s released, she runs to whisper something to Grandpa. Whether this shows she’s now loyal to the family or simply a ruse isn’t confirmed. While not a playable killer, Texas Chain Saw Massacre‘s Grandpa still impacts gameplay. Maria will be available to buy for $9.99.
Maria and Hands Coming to Texas Chain Saw Massacre June 11
Hands will become available as soon as the June 11 update goes live. He’s noted as a cousin of the main family members, and the reason for Bubba’s obsession with human face masks. Though he’s not seen in the original movie, Hands does originate from co-writer Kim Henkel’s character bible. This maintains the game’s focus on The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and not the sequels.
As a killer, Hands could quickly rise as one of the better Family members in Texas Chain Saw Massacre. He dishes out brutal attacks with his hammer and also comes with electronic traps. As someone who works on machines, he has the special Ripstall ability to rip out valves and fuses from different equipment. He has the ability to lock down areas using his various traps and can start the generator and battery faster than other members. As a hulking brute, if all else fails, Hands can become a 350 lbs. defensive wall that victims have to get through to achieve freedom.
Based on the confirmed mechanics, Hands appears to be a strong addition to the game. Little is known about Maria’s abilities, and if she’s now loyal to the family. Players have noted her being alive can cause issues with current in-game lore. Only time will tell how she impacts The Texas Chain Saw Massacre moving forward.
