A new game from former Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 developers, The Blood of Dawnwalker, launches soon for PC and console. Set in a dark fantasy world where vampires are real and plotting against humanity from the shadows, fans of swords and sorcery can pick up a stylish Day One edition of the game for $70 or a $200 Collector’s Edition. Here’s a closer look at what you’ll find in each version.
The Blood of Dawnwalker preorder bonuses
Locking in your preorder for any edition of The Blood of the Dawnwalker will unlock the Sangoran Wayfarer’s Armor set, protective gear adorned with an emblem of a nameless smith who traveled across the continent in pursuit of inspiration. This gear can also be acquired later in the game, but preorders will grant it to a player immediately, giving them an early boost when they start playing The Blood of the Dawnwalker.

The Blood of Dawnwalker Collector’s Edition
$200 | Releases September 3

Fans looking to grab the Collector’s Edition will find plenty of extra content to sink their fangs into. In addition to the base game inside its standard box, steelbook cover, world map replica, and Sangoran Wayfarer’s Armor set, it also comes with a 60-page hardcover compendium book and a PureArts figurine of the game’s protagonist, Coen.
Extra digital content includes a world compendium and game soundtrack alongside a tie-in comic book, and all of this is wrapped up in a beautifully illustrated collector’s box.
Set in a brutal reimagining of 14th-century Europe, The Blood of Dawnwalker follows the game’s protagonist, Coen, on his quest to protect his sister Lunka. As if being infected with the infamous Black Death plague wasn’t bad enough, Coen also has to face off against the powerful vampire lord Brencis and his deadly undead lieutenants. Brencis abducts Lunka, leaving Coen only 30 days to rescue his kin. Fortunately, Coen has been stricken with the vampire curse and left for dead, leaving him time to power up and master his new powers.
What also sets the game apart is that the passage of time is keenly felt. Taking on missions moves the clock forward, but the system isn’t constraining. Game developer Rebel Wolves says that it hit a sweet spot with regards to this gameplay mechanic, as players won’t be punished for exploring the game world, but they will be aware that a pivotal event is drawing closer as they begin to gain strength.
