Developer Rebel Wolves confirmed that the console versions of The Blood of Dawnwalker will not be playable at 60 frames per second (FPS) during the game’s September 3 launch. Given that The Blood of Dawnwalker is an intense action RPG, a lower FPS limit may be a dealbreaker for some users.

The Blood of Dawnwalker Capped at 30 to 40 FPS on Consoles

Although several details about The Blood of Dawnwalker have already been revealed ahead of the game’s arrival, developer Rebel Wolves also confirmed one unfortunate detail for console users to bear in mind. The Blood of Dawnwalker will only support two graphics modes; a 30 FPS Quality Mode and a 40 FPS Balanced Mode, on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X/S consoles at launch. Rebel Wolves demonstrated how Quality Mode will run on PS5 Pro and PS5 via a short gameplay montage. Rebel Wolves stated that PS5 Pro users will have additional graphical enhancements in both graphics modes. The Blood of Dawnwalker will also run at a dynamic resolution of 4K, meaning that upscaling will be used to hit the target frame rate. In response, several Twitter users stated that the lack of 60 FPS support on consoles was disappointing news.
