Kumail Nanjiani Hints at Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet’s Release Date
During a podcast appearance, actor Kumail Nanjiani claimed that a game he recently worked on would be coming out “in a couple years.” He didn’t officially name the project that he’s part of, but with Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet being the most recent game that he worked on, the Naughty Dog title is likely what he was referring to. If his words are accurate, then Intergalactic may not come out until 2028 or later. As game development becomes more complicated, the wait for Naughty Dog games becomes longer. So, it wouldn’t be too surprising if the project didn’t launch until 2028.

Nanjiani isn’t the only person from the Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet cast to talk about the game recently. Tati Gabrielle, who plays the main character Jordan, recently said in an interview while promoting the new Mortal Kombat movie that Intergalactic is “a different side of Naughty Dog.” There have been reports in the past that director Neil Druckmann has been inspired by Elden Ring‘s non-linear exploration. If that’s the direction Intergalactic is truly going, then that would definitely be a big change for Naughty Dog.
The developer has been the subject of speculation quite a bit lately.
