‘The Most Ambitious Project This Team Has Ever Undertaken’ Bloober Team Teases Multiple Game Announcements in 2026

Horror developer Bloober Team is preparing for a huge wave of reveals throughout the current year. The studio has signaled that 2026 will be a pivotal year for its future, with a “very intense communication year” planned to showcase its upcoming slate of games. This period of transparency from Bloober Team is intended to gradually unveil several internal projects that have been under development behind closed doors for several years. Among these, one specific title is already being hailed by leadership as a potential landmark for the company.

The Polish studio has rapidly evolved into a powerhouse within the horror genre, especially following the critical success of its recent high-profile remakes and original titles. After years of focusing on smaller psychological horror experiences like Layers of Fear and The Medium, the team recently made a massive leap into the mainstream with the Silent Hill 2 remake and the sci-fi horror title Cronos: The New Dawn. This success has allowed the studio to expand its operations, now managing multiple production teams simultaneously while also overseeing a “second-party” segment, Broken Mirror Games, to handle specialized projects.

Silent Hill, Cronos: The New Dawn Paint a Clear Picture of Bloober’s Future

After the Silent Hill 2 remake, Bloober Team has Cronos: The New Dawn in the pipeline, and it could cement the developer’s future.

A Strategic Shift Toward “Project H”

The most significant piece of news from the studio’s latest investor update involves a mysterious new internal project. CEO Piotr Babieno confirmed that the creative minds behind Cronos: The New Dawn have transitioned into the pre-production phase of a brand-new original IP, currently known only by the codename “Project H.” According to Inwestycje.pl, Babieno describes this game as “the most ambitious project this team has ever undertaken,” claiming it holds the highest commercial potential of any title in the company’s history.

While “Project H” is being designed to reach a much wider audience and achieve higher sales than previous efforts, the studio is being careful with its resources. The budget for this ambitious title is not expected to exceed that of Cronos, as the team plans to reuse established production pipelines and technical experience to stay efficient. Interestingly, the shift toward this new IP means that fans of Cronos: The New Dawn will have to wait, as there are currently no plans for a direct sequel while the team is fully committed to “Project H.”

Another mysterious title on the horizon is “Project M,” a game being developed by the studio’s subsidiary, Broken Mirror Games. Project M is notably a Nintendo exclusive, with rumors suggesting it is being built specifically for the Nintendo Switch 2 hardware. Babieno has teased that the gameplay for “Project M” is something that “could only exist on Nintendo hardware” and will appeal to fans of diverse classics like Resident Evil, Limbo, and Eternal Darkness.

Despite some “organizational changes” and a shift in the team members working on the title, leadership expressed satisfaction with the project’s current direction. Because the studio is now financing almost all of its projects with its own funds, they have total creative freedom to experiment with these unique platform-specific features.

Beyond its original work, the studio is doubling down on its relationship with Konami. Although not explicitly named in every report, it has been widely confirmed that Bloober Team is now developing a remake of the very first Silent Hill. This project is being handled by the same internal team that successfully reimagined Silent Hill 2, encouraging a consistent vision for the legendary survival horror franchise.

In a move to free up internal resources for these projects, the studio is changing how it handles its older brands. The recently announced Layers of Fear 3 will not be developed entirely in-house. Instead, it is a co-production with an external partner—likely Anshar Studios—though Bloober Team will still retain creative control and provide significant input. This allows the main studio to focus on more technically demanding titles while keeping its foundational series alive for its 10th anniversary.

Fans can expect to see these projects at major industry events later this year, including Gamescom and various summer showcases. While specific release dates remain unconfirmed, the sheer volume of “Project H,” “Project M,” Layers of Fear 3, and the Silent Hill remake suggests that horror lovers have a very busy few years ahead of them.
