The Next ARC Raiders Player War Might Be Over Rubber Ducks

The Next ARC Raiders Player War Might Be Over Rubber Ducks

Another ARC Raiders player war could be brewing, as the community appears to have entered a debate over the game’s most beloved figure: the Rubber Duck. While just a common trinket in ARC Raiders, players appear to have grown fond of the Rubber Duck. So much so that one player has received backlash from fellow players after questioning why the item can’t be recycled into rubber parts, considering it’s in the name and all. However, they quickly received a response from fellow players, labelling the mere suggestion as “blasphemy.”

The Rubber Duck has become a staple of ARC Raiders, with one player even collecting a mind-blowing 4,200 Rubber Ducks, filling their entire inventory with just a single item. Although loved by many, the Rubber Duck has very little use in-game, as it is a trinket that can only be sold for $1,000 of in-game currency. But, for some reason, it has become an icon among the community. After collecting literal thousands of ducks, one player requested that they be able to display more than just 12 in their Raider Den, and Embark gladly obliged. An update followed shortly after, which allowed players to display dozens of Rubber Ducks in their Den, scattering them on the floor.

ARC Raiders Confirms 1 Feature is Likely Never Coming to the Game, and It’s Splitting the Community in Half

ARC Raiders recently weighed in on requests for one feature, stating that it will likely never be added to the game in a move that has fans divided.

Another ARC Raiders War Is Brewing

The ARC Raiders community does not joke when it comes to the Rubber Duck, which is why it didn’t take too kindly to one user questioning why the item could not be recycled into rubber parts. For those who don’t know, the majority of items in ARC Raiders can be recycled into other materials, which can then be used to craft other pieces of gear or useful items. A durable cloth, for example, can be recycled into fabric, which can then be used to craft bandages, among many other things. Logically, it would make sense for the Rubber Duck to be recyclable into rubber parts, but fellow players have quickly called the suggestion “blasphemy.”

As spotted by GamesRadar, a new post by Velcr0Wallet seems to have sparked outrage, which could possibly even lead to a new ARC Raiders war, this time over Rubber Ducks. “Blasphemy! Why would you ever want to?” a fellow player questioned, while another said, “Don’t listen to him! He is not in a right mind.” Some even went as far as to say they were “horrified” by the post, but one user summed it up best, saying, “The Rubber Duck is the Rubber Duck.”

Given the severity of such a delusional idea, it’s almost as though there are the rumblings of another war. Although it would seem like it would be pretty one-sided. Quite literally every single ARC Raiders player against that one guy who wants to recycle the Rubber Duck. But, it wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen such a war break out in ARC Raiders. Shortly after the game’s release, streamers TheBurntPeanut and HutchFM managed to spark a community-wide player war that went on for weeks. It all started after HutchFM was downed by a random player, who then exclaimed, “This is for the Bungulators.” For those who don’t know, the Bungulators is the name that TheBurntPeanut gave to his fans.

A war then ensued with each side picking their own outfit of choice before heading in-game and battling it out, with TheBurntPeanut and his fellow Bungulators emerging victorious.

Not everyone was overly fond of the streamer wars, but they have become a key part of ARC Raiders, bringing a lot of eyes to Embark’s new extraction shooter. However, it looks like some of Twitch’s biggest names are already growing tired of the title, as figures such as Shroud have blasted ARC Raiders for its rampant cheater problem. The streamer, who has previously said the title could be as big as Fortnite one day, has said Embark currently has no control over its game and that things need to be addressed within the next week or two.
