The title has a strong community that loves to share stories with others about their own saves, with The Sims 4 offering up limitless scenarios that can play out over a lifetime. Just recently, one Sims 4 player won the lottery in-game and instantly regretted it, showcasing how these saves don’t always go to plan. The fact that this is even possible in-game is a testament to why The Sims 4 remains the premiere life simulator title, almost a decade after its release. Players really can do anything, and live the life they want to live. This wedding is only possible because of the Sims 4: My Wedding Stories game pack. While it’s odd to have such a huge life event locked behind a paywall, it’s just good that it’s in the game at all.
Almost a decade on from its release, the stuff players are still getting up to in The Sims 4 is amazing. With news on The Sims 5 quiet for some time now, many believe that Maxis intends to stick with The Sims 4 for a while yet, and recent updates seem to be confirming that. Maxis recently added a battle pass-esque feature to The Sims 4, which rewarded players for returning to the game on a daily basis. It remains to be seen if this is a hint about things to come in future Sims titles, or if it is an indication that The Sims 4 is here to stay for the foreseeable future.
