TheBurntPeanut Just Threatened to Quit ARC Raiders

TheBurntPeanut Just Threatened to Quit ARC Raiders

TheBurntPeanut, arguably the biggest ARC Raiders streamer around right now, has threatened to quit the game completely unless Embark Studios acts on the rampant cheaters ruining the game right now. During a recent live stream, the beloved content creator and streamer, who is often full of jokes and upbeat vibes, expressed his frustrations with ARC Raiders and called for Embark to fix the game, “or I’m actually out of here.”

While Peanut initially found success with Battlestate Games’ hit extraction shooter Escape from Tarkov, the streamer – who obscures his identity with a peanut avatar – became a household name among gamers with the release of ARC Raiders late last year. All eyes were on the streamer after a viral ‘war’ between him and another ARC Raiders streamer, HutchMF. The pair quickly went viral among the game’s community, as other players donned the corresponding outfits to show their allegiance. While not everyone was pleased with the ongoing war between the two streamers, it did bring tons of attention to Embark’s second-ever game and helped to make it even more successful than it already was.

This ARC Raiders Concept Would Solve Some of Players’ Biggest Gripes

A dedicated ARC Raiders player has designed a concept that Embark Studios may want to take note of, as it would solve some of players’ biggest gripes.

TheBurntPeanut Calls on Embark to Remove ARC Raiders Cheaters

Despite being one of ARC Raiders‘ biggest supporters and bringing thousands of eyes to the title every single day, TheBurntPeanut has become just the latest streamer to call on Embark to fix the game’s cheating problem. During a recent live stream (and clipped by a user on Twitter), Peanut and fellow streamers Cloakzy and Nickmercs were dominated by the same cheaters repeatedly, leading Peanut to make a bold statement. “I’m gonna make a formal thing. Embark, fix this or, like, I’m out of here,” he said. He goes on to say, “I’m actually out of here. Give us something, or I’m actually out of here. This is ridiculous.”

Anybody who has watched TheBurntPeanut will be well aware that he is very often an upbeat, loud, and fun streamer, but his statement to Embark had a much more sombre tone as he and many other content creators are growing increasingly tired of the cheating issues in ARC Raiders. Fellow Twitch streamer Shroud has also criticized ARC Raiders and Embark over the constant hackers, stating that the studio has “no control” over its game. Again, Shroud has been an active supporter of ARC Raiders since its launch in October, even calling for it to be awarded as the 2025 Game of the Year over Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. While the extraction shooter was not nominated, it did win Best Multiplayer Game.

With streamers such as TheBurntPeanut and Shroud experiencing issues every single day, it’s understandable that they are calling for fixes at a much faster rate. However, Embark has already addressed the cheating issue in ARC Raiders and confirmed that it is actively working on tightening the game’s security. In a statement last week, the studio said it is implementing significant changes to the title’s rulesets and deploying new detection mechanisms to identify and remove cheaters. Shortly after this announcement was made, reports began emerging of cheaters being banned, but only temporarily, which led to more frustrations as members of the community believed these bans should be permanent.

Hopefully, further changes could soon be on the way. With ARC Raiders proving to be a massive success, selling over 12 million copies to date, Embark clearly has a huge hit on its hands, which makes post-launch support vital. The studio recently released the first major update of 2026, which nerfed the fire rate of the Kettle to prevent players from using macros, but also reduced the damage range and trigger time of the controversial Trigger Nade. No new content was included in update 1.11.0, but with the Cold Snap event now over, it is rumored that a new Map Modifier could be released as early as next week.
