The recent addition of the wishlisted filter for Xbox has revealed the most highly-anticipated games coming to the Microsoft console. Xbox’s top wishlisted games comprise a mix of big third-party releases and huge first-party games.

Xbox has seen a big shift in direction since its new leadership took over in early 2026. Asha Sharma officially took the reins as CEO of Xbox on February 20, succeeding longtime Xbox boss Phil Spencer at a tumultuous time in Xbox history. Sharma has helped to institute some big changes across the board for Xbox, ranging from reducing the price of Game Pass to shifting Xbox toward high-profile exclusives and away from multi-platform releases. Now, a brand-new filter added to the Xbox Store shows what upcoming games are getting Xbox fans the most excited.

The most wishlisted games on Xbox include many expected entries at the top of the list. Grand Theft Auto 6 has easily been the hottest story in the gaming industry, with the newest open-world game from Rockstar breaking records and winning awards before its full release. Multiple first-party Microsoft games appear on the list, with Fable, Halo, and State of Decay 3 all seeing high wishlist totals among fans on Xbox. Several other in-development Microsoft games also appeared just outside the top 10, including Xbox exclusive Clockwork Revolution and Gears of War: E-Day.

Xbox’s lineup for the rest of 2026 looks to be stacked with a multitude of major games set to launch. Microsoft fans won’t have to wait much longer to dive into Halo: Campaign Evolved, with the remake of the first Halo game officially releasing on July 28. The previously mentioned Beast of Reincarnation is also set to make its long-awaited debut before the end of summer 2026, scheduled for release on August 4 as a Day One title for Xbox Game Pass.

Microsoft looks to have plenty on the way moving into 2027 as well, starting the year with some big first-party releases. Microsoft and Playground Games recently pushed the release of Fable into February 2027, likely looking to avoid competing with the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 in November. Atlus confirmed the release date for Persona 4 Revival during the Xbox Games Showcase as well, with the Persona 4 remake also scheduled to debut in February. Xbox’s lineup of upcoming games should give fans plenty to look forward to from Microsoft.
