This Is How Long It Will Reportedly Take to Beat 007: First Light

007 First Light is just a few weeks away from hitting PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and will see Hitman developer IO Interactive put its own spin on the British icon that is James Bond. While the studio has some big plans for post-launch support that will keep players coming back for more and more action, it has now been revealed approximately how long it will take gamers to complete the main campaign for 007 First Light.

It’s been five years since Daniel Craig hung up his bow tie and left the role of James Bond, and while MGM Studios has found its director for the next 007 movie, it’s still scrambling to find the next James Bond. Thankfully, fans of the iconic British character won’t need to wait long to see the beloved MI6 agent embark on his next adventure. 007 First Light is one of the most anticipated video game releases of 2026, and for good reason. Developed by Hitman creator IO Interactive, the stealth experts are putting their years of experience to the test and bringing players the first AAA James Bond game in 14 years, this time putting fans in the boots of a younger, more inexperienced Bond who has yet to be awarded his 00 status.

007 First Light isn’t just a new James Bond game; it is a refresh, a restart, and a revival for the franchise in gaming.

How Long Does It Take to Beat 007 First Light?

  • 007 First Light will reportedly take 20 hours to beat

With the release date for 007 First Light locked in for May 27, one of 2026’s biggest releases is now right around the corner, and fans are eager to know how much time they’ll need to sink into the title to complete its main campaign. Well, according to YouTuber JorRaptor, who recently went hands-on with 007 First Light and sat down to speak to IO Interactive, the studio’s next title will apparently take around 20 hours on average to complete. This time will, of course, vary from player to player. Those looking to blitz through the game as quickly as possible may be able to do it in under 20 hours, while anybody who likes to take their time, strategize, and take in the sheer beauty of First Light‘s visuals will likely take longer.

However, it should be noted that IO Interactive has plans to support 007 First Light with plenty of post-launch content, including new missions for the game’s tac-sim mode. This is one of the many features in 007 First Light that will give players more than enough reason to keep returning for more action, even after they complete the main campaign. For those who might be unaware, the tac-sim mode will include multiple types of challenges for players to complete and will not only pit the community against each other on a leaderboard, but will also allow players to earn experience points that can then be spent on gadget upgrades, weapons, and outfits.

Anybody who was eager to pick up 007 First Light on the Nintendo Switch 2 will have to wait a little longer, as IO Interactive recently confirmed an unfortunate delay for Nintendo’s newest console. The studio did not divulge the specifics as to why it had to delay 007 First Light‘s release on the Switch 2 just weeks before its launch, but it did say that it intends to bring fans the best game experience possible across all platforms. The Switch 2 version is now set to release later this Summer, but a firm date has yet to be confirmed by IO Interactive.
