MH: World and Rise both boast amazing reviews and are widely considered as some of the best Monster Hunter games Capcom ever made. Monster Hunter Franchise Reaches Huge Sales Milestone
Japanese gaming giant Capcom reports a surprising sales figure for its Monster Hunter franchise which will likely continue to rise.
Capcom has now opted to slash those prices as part of a mid-June 2024 sale. The limited-time promotion brings the price of Monster Hunter: World down to the historically low figure of $9.99 on consoles and $9.89 on PC. The critically acclaimed Iceborne expansion for Monster Hunter: World is also part of the sale, having been discounted by up to 63%, depending on the platform. Alternatively, the Iceborne Digital Deluxe edition of the game can currently be picked up for under $20. Steam and PlayStation users have until the 12th and 13th of June, respectively, to take advantage of these offers. Meanwhile, the equivalent Xbox deals on Monster Hunter: World and its DLC will be live until June 17, as per their Microsoft Store listings.
Monster Hunter Games On Sale Right Now
Aside from the hit 2018 game, Capcom’s latest sale also includes the 2021 Monster Hunter: Rise, which is currently available at 75% off across all platforms. The hefty discount brings the action RPG down to $9.99, which is another historical low. The widely successful Sunbreak expansion for Monster Hunter Rise is part of the sale as well, available for just under $16. Prospective buyers who haven’t yet experienced the base game can also grab its complete edition for $19.79. The promotion includes the original Switch version of Monster Hunter Rise, which will be on sale until June 20. The rest of the offers are set to end alongside the currently available Monster Hunter: World discounts.
Price-conscious gamers determined to only pick up one of the newly discounted RPGs will have to make a purchase decision based on their personal preferences; both games have been widely praised by fans and critics alike, so there’s no universal answer to the question of which is better: Monster Hunter: World or Rise. Players who want a traditional Monster Hunter experience that’s challenging but fair may like MH: World better, especially if they favor semi-realistic graphics over highly stylized visuals. Meanwhile, MH: Rise is a different kind of experience that revolves around more fast-paced and forgiving combat, not least because of a much higher level of character mobility that it offers.
