Thanks to a newly announced partnership, Ubisoft is giving away 13 games from its catalog (including Assassin’s Creed games, Rainbow Six games, and more) with a slight catch. The timing isn’t likely to be a coincidence either, as the move may very well build more goodwill for the company following the successful release of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. Ubisoft hate is easy to come by, but consumer-friendly moves like this one should always be welcome and applauded.
After all, it could be argued that “consumer-friendly” isn’t exactly the current direction of the gaming industry. PlayStation 6 and Xbox Helix consoles are believed to be $1000+, while PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles keep going up in price. The RAM Crisis is taking its toll, and PlayStation has committed to ending disc production in January 2028, ushering in a new digital-only era for the company. And while there are a lot of contemporary and future issues with digital ownership, one step by Ubisoft and Xbox is at least somewhat positive.
Free Ubisoft Games on PC List
PC gamers are currently able to claim, download, and keep Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Far Cry 6, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Riders Republic, Skull and Bones, The Crew 2, The Crew Motorfest, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, and Watch Dogs Legion via Ubisoft Connect under 1 condition. PC owners must already own an Xbox console version to receive a free PC on Xbox version through Ubisoft Connect.

This is part of an expanded partnership between Ubisoft and Xbox, letting owners of one version of the game own two, so players can truly choose where to play their digital games. It’s worth noting that this is currently a one-way street: those who own PC versions cannot claim a free Xbox version. Moving forward, anyone who purchases an Xbox version of the above Ubisoft games will now get the Xbox on PC digital version too, and anyone who has already purchased the game on Xbox will get this free copy in a progressive rollout period lasting through August 4. Fans should keep an eye on the Ubisoft Connect launcher in the coming days to make sure they receive their copies.
Getting a favorite game on a new platform is more than reason enough to play through it again, and each of these Ubisoft games has plenty of content to offer fans. Whether they want to explore two different schools of Assassin’s Creed games, revisit the latest major Prince of Persia game, or delve deeper into Skull and Bones, Xbox owners have all new reasons to play these games on their PC.
The best part is fans don’t really have to do much except let Ubisoft and Xbox do all the work in the background. Fans should keep an eye on their Ubisoft Connect games, but that’s basically it. Fans can expect their free version of these games by August 4, and everyone can expect both versions of these games with any Xbox purchase moving forward.
