An unlucky Call of Duty: Warzone player has shared a clip in which they were killed by a “1 in a million shot.” Since its release, Call of Duty: Warzone gamers have been defeated in countless ways, but this may be the unluckiest elimination so far.
Call of Duty: Warzone has evolved many times since its release, including a change to World War 2 weaponry in the Pacific Caldera map. There have also been cycling game modes like Golden Plunder and Rebirth Island that change the flow of combat compared to the traditional experience. The Battle Royale title is currently in the middle of Season 4, which continues to focus on the Urzikstan map. Some of the changes with Warzone Season 4 are a new Gulag layout, Specialist Perk, and Bunker evolution. Each season brings with it new challenges, but one player may have got more than they expected when competing in solos.

Call of Duty: Warzone adds a secret submarine to the Rebirth Island map, and players can earn a special reward by finding it and heading inside.
Reddit user Relative-Macaron-854 recently shared a Call of Duty: Warzone clip in which they’re killed by a “1 in a million shot.” The video begins with the player approaching an unmarked location while attempting to complete a Warzone Bounty contract. The gamer enters a building and checks their Heartbeat Sensor, which indicates that no players are nearby. Just after they start sprinting again, they’re suddenly killed by an unseen enemy. The footage then cuts to a killcam that highlights a player sniping another on a rooftop, with the first bullet missing its target and hitting the unsuspecting gamer below.
Could This Call of Duty: Warzone Player be Cheating?
While Call of Duty: Warzone has a cheater problem, it’s unlikely that this footage showcases any cheating given the circumstances. The fact that the player who seemingly inadvertently killed Relative-Macaron-854 was engaged with another enemy emphasizes the innocent nature of the elimination. As the killcam player misses the closest target and hits another through a ceiling, they don’t seem to be using an aimbot or other hacks to gain an unfair advantage. This encounter shockingly resulted in the first player’s elimination, but they may have faired better if they were just downed in a squad-based Warzone match. It’s unclear if the sniper’s intended target ever got killed.
Although it’s unlikely that Relative-Macaron-854 was affected by a Warzone cheater, the ease with which they were killed through a roof may be troubling to players. As Activision continues to update Call of Duty: Warzone, the durability of these surfaces may be improved to prevent similar encounters in the future.
