A Valheim player has created an incredible video detailing their castle base in the Meadows. With its peaceful serenity, the Meadows biome has become a popular Valheim base area, and this castle may be among the most impressive.
When Valheim was released, there were six biomes; the Meadows, Black Forest, Swamp, Mountain, Plaines, and Ocean. Since then, Iron Gate Studio has added the Mistlands, Ashlands, and are working on a more detailed Deep North. Included in each biome is a lengthy catalog of materials that can be used to create new equipment, food, building materials, and more. As players progress through the Stone Age to the Silver Age by defeating bosses, their capabilities also improve. Gamers often build multiple bases as they scour the map, but a popular destination is still the Meadows. One player has shared a video tour of their Meadows castle that features a dock, farm, and more.

Valheim Clip Shows Player’s Impressive Base Get Destroyed After Ashlands Update
A Valheim player shares a clip showing the last moments of their incredible base before it’s destroyed by the recent Ashlands update.
YouTuber MajesticBowler recently shared their tour of a castle base that likely took them many hours to complete. The gamer utilizes the free-fly camera Valheim console command to capture every angle of the castle, starting with an aerial view. A dragon statue can be seen resting next to two docked boats from above, with a similar structure coming into view as the camera swivels. The player then moves through a narrow canal where another boat is parked, highlighting a chicken coop between a windmill and a courtyard with a tree surrounded by four Standing blue-burning iron torches.
How Was This Valheim Castle Created?
Each structure in MajesticBowler’s castle includes different colored banners that may help the gamer locate specific stations in their base. An armory is on the opposite side of the courtyard from the chicken coop, and it features a central forge. The camera goes through the adjacent tower to reveal wall-mounted weapons, decorated Armor Stands, and a viewpoint that faces a wooded Meadow across a river. This castle is primarily composed of Stone and different types of Wood, but there are also clear signs of Iron, Leather Scraps, and materials required for dye like Blueberries, Raspberries, and Cloudberries. The impressive statues likely required patience with Valheim‘s building mechanic, the castle is also built upon leveled ground which can also be finicky.
With MajesticBowler detailing so much of their castle with free-fly, it may help other gamers with their own builds. As the base is missing Grausten from Valheim‘s Ashlands biome, it’s possible this player hasn’t completed the end-game area. With Iron Gate Studios continuing to update the game, future materials may help improve this castle further.
