Vietnam Gameplay Revealed in New Trailer

This article was produced in collaboration with Valnet Inc. and our sponsor, Team 17 Digital.

It has undoubtedly been one of the strongest years in gaming for fans of first-person and tactical shooters in particular, with some of the industry’s juggernauts pitting their new releases against some newcomers. Thankfully, the momentum appears to be continuing into 2026, with another popular shooter bringing more content for its loyal fanbase to enjoy.

As the clock strikes midnight and ushers us into a new year, Team17 and Expression Games will be continuing to build momentum for the next big release on their calendars. Many fans will be familiar with their work on Hell Let Loose, and will relish the opportunity to experience a whole new side of the franchise with Hell Let Loose: Vietnam.

Hell Let Loose: Best Loadouts, Ranked

Hell Let Loose gives players a wide range of historical weaponry to choose from. These are the best loadouts in the game.

Hell Let Loose Is Getting A Standalone Game Set In Vietnam

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam shouldn’t be mistaken for an expansion or DLC for the popular FPS that has attracted tens of thousands of players and a sparkling review score on Steam. This new project will be completely separate from the original Hell Let Loose, and will offer a number of new gameplay features to coincide with the core mechanics that long-time players are already familiar with.

Vietnam is a fresh entry that places more emphasis on historical authenticity with its new setting, with gamers filling the shoes of the NVA. Using the power of Unreal Engine 5, players will, once again, be thrown into captivating 50v50 player battles, but will also be able to enjoy some new additions, such as:

  • Usable helicopters and airborne combat for US soldiers.
  • New mortar squads
  • A tunnel network system for the NVA.
  • Playable boats and marine combat in rivers.

The new features promise to challenge players like never before, with threats from above, below, and on the water adding another layer of depth to the war simulation experience. Not only will these mechanics require some practice to master, players will also need to be more alert in order to identify new strategies on the battlefield.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Is Set For A 2026 Release

With new information surfacing and an exciting gameplay trailer offering the most in-depth look into Hell Let Loose: Vietnam to date, players will be relieved to hear that they won’t need to wait very long to get their hands on the game. The title is set to come out on PC and consoles in 2026, although opportunities to try the game out will surface before the planned release. The game already has an active Steam page, so those who want to be updated can add it to their wishlist for notifications regarding Hell Let Loose: Vietnam.

While it is an exciting time for FPS and Hell Let Loose players, the existing fanbase can be rest assured that the original game won’t be neglected in the wake of Vietnam‘s release. The original Hell Let Loose will continue to be supported alongside this new, standalone installment.
