Where To Preorder Final Fantasy VII Rebirth On Switch 2

The Unknown Journey of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy continues on Switch 2, as preorders for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth are now live. The middle chapter in the trilogy heads to the Nintendo console on June 3, and you can pick up the physical Switch 2 edition for $50. Not only is that a full $20 cheaper than the game’s launch price on PS5 and PC, but this new version also comes with some exclusive extras–including a unique Magic: The Gathering card featuring one of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s best characters.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Switch 2 Preorder Bonuses

Preordering Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on Switch 2 unlocks several in-game bonuses, including the Posh Chocobo Summoning Materia, the Shinra Bangle Mk. II armor, and the Midgar Bangle Mk. II armor. These extras are included with all physical and digital preorders.

If you preorder the physical edition, you’ll also receive a limited-edition Zack Fair legendary creature Magic: The Gathering card featuring unique alternate artwork drawn by character designer and Creative Director Tetsuya Nomura. You’ll also get a reversible art inlay for the cover–one side features the main key art, and the reverse side features a collage of the game’s playable party members. These collectibles are exclusive to physical copies of the game.

Additionally, while not a preorder bonus per se, players who have completed the Switch 2 version of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade can also claim two additional summoning materia in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: Leviathan (available if you complete FFVII Remake’s base campaign) and Ramuh (available if you complete the Intermission campaign).

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth expands on Final Fantasy VII Remake, refining the gameplay and combat systems introduced in that game and pushing out beyond the confines of Midgar City and into bigger, open-world environments. “As a game that has the unenviable task of living up to one of the strongest legacies in the medium, it is a worthy second chapter,” Tamoor Hussain wrote in GameSpot’s Final Fantasy VII Rebirth review.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s Switch 2 launch is coming just a few months after Square Enix released Final Fantasy VII Remake for Switch 2 earlier in January. The acclaimed action RPG runs incredibly well on the handheld, and if you have yet to try it out for yourself, a demo is available on the eShop. If you want to buy a physical copy, it’s only $40 on Amazon. It includes both the base game and the Intergrade expansion, a rearranged soundtrack, and in-game bonus content such as extra weapons, armor, summons, and accessories.

Both Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth are also available on PS5 and PC; Remake is available for $40, while Rebirth recently received a permanent price drop to $50. PS5 owners can even score a discount on physical copies of both games. Amazon even has discounted version of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on PS5 available for $35 that includes a free DualSense controller skin of Cloud and Sephiroth.you can grab both of them in a twin-pack for $60 on PS5.
