The current version of Telltale Games is actually making and releasing Wolf Among Us 2 after years of start-and-stop development. The game is set to arrive in 2027. And before that, we’ll be getting a remastered version of the original Wolf Among Us.
Here’s the trailer:
When Telltale was revived in 2019, The Wolf Among Us 2 was one of the revived studio’s first announced projects. It was first teased back in 2019 at the Game Awards. That version was being developed with assistance from Adhoc Studios, made up of former Telltale devs. The game was delayed in 2023 as it switched engines to Unreal 5. Then Telltale and Adhoc split up, and the indie studio focused on Dispatch, its own superhero narrative game that launched last year to big sales and positive reviews.
Rumors spread online that Wolf Among Us 2 was canned, but that wasn’t the case, according to Telltale. And now, here we are, at another Geoff-hosted event revealing yet another trailer for this long-in-development game. Will it actually launch in 2027? No idea. We’ll wait to find out.
In the meantime, fans will be able to play the remake of Wolf Among Us that is set to launch this holiday season.
