A World of Warcraft Mythic+ Dungeon run has been called into question after evidence claimed that the run had the assistance of a Game Master (GM) who allegedly used their power to defeat enemies in a single shot. The World of Warcraft Mythic+ Dungeon run was recorded just as Blizzard’s long-running MMORPG was preparing for the launch of its Patch 12.1 content update.

World of Warcraft GM Allegedly One-Shot Mythic+ Dungeon Boss

Given that Mythic+ Dungeons are a way for World of Warcraft players to earn rare rewards, completing one within the allotted time is necessary. According to a post on the WoW subreddit by Acrobatic_Pianist688, logs of a Mythic+ 23 run of Nexus Point Xe’nas indicated that a Game Master used their Death Touch ability on Lothraxion, the last boss of the dungeon. The boss was at around 1.4% of its remaining health when the Game Master finished the fight for the group. Given that the job of a World of Warcraft GM is to assist players with specific issues and to punish players caught cheating, the fact that a GM used one of their exclusive abilities to aid a group in a competitive format like Mythic+ Dungeons is considered by many to be an abuse of power.
