The Chronos and Nightmare Weapon Enchantment Illusions are now available in World of Warcraft: Legion Remix as of Patch 11.2.7. These rare cosmetics were quietly added to the vendors in Patch 11.2.7, and usually have a drop rate of less than 2%, meaning World of Warcraft fans should definitely consider picking them up during the limited-time event.
Legion Remix is an ongoing game mode in which players can power through content from the nine-year-old expansion, collect rare cosmetics, and complete both old and new achievements with ease. Meanwhile, normal WoW just recently released Patch 11.2.7, The Warning, which added a prologue for the Midnight expansion, Housing early access, and much more.
Chronos and Nightmare Weapon Enchantment Illusions Now In WoW: Legion Remix
However, Patch 11.2.7 added some new items to Legion Remix that fans definitely won’t want to miss out on. Horos, the Rare Collections vendor who sells the toys and pets in World of Warcraft: Legion Remix, now carries Illusion: Chronos and Illusion: Nightmare, two extremely rare Weapon Enchantment Illusions. These items were not originally available in Legion Remix; they were only added with the release of the 11.2.7 update on December 2, albeit without any mention in any patch notes or announcements, so players should make sure not to miss them if they’ve already bought all the rewards in the event.
- Illusion: Chronos – 100,000 Bronze
- Illusion: Nightmare – 80,000 Bronze
The Chronos and Nightmare Weapon Enchantment Illusions are normally dropped from the Chronomatic Anomaly from Nighthold and Xavius from the Emerald Nightmare raids, respectively. These items have only about a 1.4% drop rate, making them quite rare. They come at a steep Bronze price – 80,000 for Chronos and 100,000 for Nightmare – but buying them is still significantly faster than farming the old raids.
In general, Weapon Enchantment Illusions are uncommon and highly desirable, with each expansion usually only adding a handful at most. The brand-new Felshatter Weapon Enchantment Illusion is already available in Legion Remix by completing the Val’sharah Timerunner achievement, meaning there are now three of these customizations available in the game mode. These special effects can be applied to any weapon besides Bows, Crossbows, Guns, and Shields, providing a great way to add magical flair to an outfit – and with improvements to the transmog system coming in World of Warcraft: Midnight, using these Weapon Enchantment Illusions will be even easier.
What’s Next in World of Warcraft: Legion Remix, The War Within, and Midnight?
There may be even more Legion Remix surprises on the way very soon. The fifth and final phase of Legion Remix, Infinite Echoes, starts December 9, promising new rewards, catch-up mechanics, and Remix-specific content. While it is unclear exactly what is in store for them, fans will have six weeks to explore this final phase and earn the nearly 7,000,000 Bronze they need to buy every WoW Legion Remix reward before it wraps up on January 19.
Meanwhile, Patch 11.2.7 introduced tons of new activities for players to enjoy, including the Brawler’s Guild, which finally re-opens its gates starting December 9, and the return of World of Warcraft’s Turbulent Timeways that will run through February 9. The Feast of Winter Veil event also starts December 15 through January 2, ostensibly adding some new holiday items for fans to collect.
Though it has not officially gotten a release date yet, World of Warcraft: Midnight’s Pre-Patch event is likely to kick off January 20, right after Legion Remix concludes. Players will be able to bring their Timewalkers into the main game and battle the Twilight’s Blade as they prepare for Xal’atath’s attack on Silvermoon, earn some catch-up gear, and likely collect some new transmogs and items in the process. With World of Warcraft: Midnight itself releasing on March 2, the next few months in Azeroth are going to be packed with stuff for gamers to enjoy.
