World of Warcraft has officially shared a deep dive into the Voidstorm, the final zone players will visit in the Midnight expansion. Alien creatures, deadly foes, and rampant predation await fans in the Voidstorm, where their battle against Xal’atath and the Devouring Host will come to a head in World of Warcraft: Midnight.
It is almost Midnight in Azeroth, with the new World of Warcraft expansion dropping on March 2. During the campaign, players will visit four zones, two of which are revamped versions of Eversong Woods and Zul’Aman, locations fans of The Burning Crusade will recognize. However, the other two are brand-new places that have never been seen before: Harandar and the Voidstorm.
World of Warcraft Teams Up With Two Unexpected Websites
World of Warcraft reveals crossovers with two unexpected websites to hype up the Midnight expansion and its Player Housing feature.
It’s Kill or Be Killed in World of Warcraft: Midnight’s Voidstorm
Now, with Midnight’s release drawing closer, World of Warcraft has released deep dives for each of these zones, and among them, the Voidstorm stands out as particularly deadly. This realm of predation and violence is the base of operations for Xal’atath’s Devouring Host, but even the alien creatures that inhabit the Voidstorm are constantly killing and eating each other.

During the Midnight campaign, players must start in Eversong Woods, after which they choose where to go next: to Zul’Aman, Harandar, or on a special journey alongside Arator as he visits several old zones from World of Warcraft’s history. Only after characters have completed all four of these chapters will they finally find a way to break into the Voidstorm.
The culmination of the leveling campaign and much of the endgame story will take place in this alien landscape. Arator, Alleria, Lothraxion, and Magister Umbric’s Void Elves in World of Warcraft take center stage in this zone as they confront Xal’atath’s forces and learn that not all the Domanaar who serve in the Devouring Host are happy to be doing so. Many incredible side quest stories can be found in the Voidstorm as well, delving deeper into important Void Elf characters, the mysterious Domanaar, and even a group of Draenei who developed independently of the Naaru for thousands of years.
World of Warcraft: Midnight Endgame Activities in the Voidstorm
As the final zone in the expansion, it is not surprising to learn that there are many World of Warcraft: Midnight endgame activities to be found in the Voidstorm. The most important of these is Stormarion Assaults, described as “an action-packed combat scenario where skill and well-placed defenses are crucial to holding back relentless waves of attackers.” The event occurs every 30 minutes, during which fans can set up traps and other protection in a tower defense-like combat activity, where they must stop enemies from reaching the Singularity Anchor and destroying it. The Stormarion Defender mount, Kai pet, and weekly progression materials can all be obtained by completing this event.
Nexus-Point Xenas and the Voidscar Arena are the two dungeons that can be found in the Voidstorm. Players must complete Nexus-Point Xenas during the Voidstorm campaign, wherein they will have to face Lothraxion, a long-time ally-turned-boss in World of Warcraft driven to the edge by events within the story. The Voidscar Arena, on the other hand, is a stadium where kidnapped gladiators from across the universe are pitted against one another – and its master, Overseer Charonus, wants to add the champions of Azeroth to his roster.

Three of World of Warcraft: Midnight’s 11 delves are also located in the Voidstorm. Shadowguard Point and Sunkiller Sanctum are traditional delves, while Torment’s Rise is the lair of Nullaeus, the delve Nemesis for Season 1. Additionally, the Voidspire, the largest of the three raids coming in Midnight, looms over the horizon in the Voidstorm. This six-boss instance opens on Normal and Heroic on March 17, Mythic and Story Mode on March 24, and fully in Raid Finder on March 31.
