The Xbox Game Pass library has expanded to include two more day-one releases, including the chaotic party game Crashout Crew. The new arrivals mark the 17th and 18th catalog additions in May 2026, bringing the total number of Xbox Game Pass releases this year to 90.

More than half of May 2026 additions to Microsoft’s subscription service were day-one titles. Prior to today’s batch, the most recent arrival reached Xbox Game Pass on May 27 in the form of strategy RPG Echo Generation 2. This month’s day-one releases also included Luna Abyss, Forza Horizon 6, Subnautica 2, Black Jacket, Mixtape, Outbound, Motorslice, and the Xbox Series X/S version of Escape Simulator.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Subscribers Have More Perks to Claim for May 2026

Xbox Game Pass subscribers have new perks to claim, ranging from refreshed monthly offerings to brand-new rewards for May 2026.

Kabuto Park and Crashout Crew Join Two Xbox Game Pass Tiers on Day One

Two more titles joined the service on May 28, with bug-collecting adventure Kabuto Park and forklift operator party game Crashout Crew becoming reaching Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. If they follow the usual release pattern for day-one indies on the service, both games can be expected to join the Premium-tier catalog sometime between late 2026 and mid-2027.

In terms of target audiences, the May 28 arrivals occupy very different corners of the catalog. Kabuto Park is a short single-player adventure built around chill summer vibes, offering a Pokemon-lite gameplay loop of catching bugs, leveling them up, and trying to become a so-called Beetle Battle champion. It features more than 40 bug species to collect, though notably no spiders, in order to stay appealing to arachnophobes. By contrast, Crashout Crew is a textbook “friendslop” game, designed for frantic co-op multiplayer sessions that are easy to pick up but still leave room for meaningful skill expression.

While Kabuto Park and Crashout Crew round out this month’s library additions, there is another catalog update scheduled for May 31, when Xbox Game Pass is set to lose some of its best role-playing games: Metaphor: ReFantazio and Persona 4: Golden. Also leaving on that date are Spray Paint Simulator, Crypt Custodian, and Against the Storm.

Looking ahead, Xbox Game Pass will add Final Fantasy 6 and the third entry in the Jurassic World Evolution franchise on June 2. That is also the likeliest date for the official announcement of next month’s Wave 1 lineup. The upcoming roadmap is already known to include Beastro, a cooking roguelite from Los Angeles-based Timberline Studio, which is scheduled to debut as a day-one title on June 11.
