Two ongoing Final Fantasy 14 campaigns will conclude during the last full week of August, both of which currently offer one unique mount each to players who participate in these events. Final Fantasy 14 periodically hosts seasonal events and promotional campaigns that each offer enticing rewards to new and current players alike.
Earlier in August, Final Fantasy 14 launched on Nintendo Switch 2 in a “beta” state, meaning that Square Enix’s critically acclaimed MMORPG is now available on all current-gen consoles. Although Final Fantasy 14‘s Switch 2 port was initially marred by long loading times, Square Enix quickly addressed the problems via hotfixes. Final Fantasy 14 on Switch 2 is capable of running the game at 30 frames per second (FPS) in cities and world zones, though the frame rate cap is doubled to 60 FPS in instanced dungeons and raids.
Two Final Fantasy 14 Mounts Will Be Unobtainable Soon
However, Final Fantasy 14 players looking to add more mounts to their virtual menageries do not have much longer to claim two rare prizes. Both Alsvid the Unicorn and the Inflatable Mograft will become unobtainable starting on August 25 and 26, respectively. Alsvid the Unicorn is the reward FF14 players can obtain for participating in an ongoing Twitch subscription campaign that coincided with the launch of Patch 7.55 on July 28. Alsvid can be obtained by purchasing or gifting three Twitch subscriptions at Tier 1 or higher to any eligible Twitch channel that is streaming Final Fantasy 14. The current price of a single Tier 1 Twitch subscription is $5.99, before taxes are applied. A code will then be sent to users via Twitch whispers that can be redeemed using the Mog Station account management service.

As for the Inflatable Mograft, FF14 players need not spend any additional money to claim it. The mount is available until August 26 by participating in the 2026 Moonfire Faire seasonal event and completing the level 30 quest “Earning Your Water Wings.” While the Inflatable Mograft will likely be obtainable again via the Final Fantasy 14 Online Store in 2027, it is currently unclear if or when Alsvid will return following the end of the Twitch subscription campaign.
Following the conclusion of the Moonfire Faire, the annual Rising event will be observed across Eorzea from August 27 to September 10. In short, The Rising is Final Fantasy 14‘s anniversary celebration, which marks when the game was relaunched in 2013 as A Realm Reborn. Final Fantasy 14 players who participate in the 13th edition of The Rising will earn a Wind-up Wuk Lamat minion and some in-game housing items. Given that Wuk Lamat is considered one of Final Fantasy 14‘s chattiest and most controversial characters to date, it remains to be seen how many players will add her miniature counterpart to their minion collections.
Final Fantasy 14‘s next content update, Patch 7.56, will launch on Tuesday, September 8. Along with the second part of the Trail to the Heavens main story quests, Patch 7.56 will also introduce the Beastmaster as the game’s second Limited Job. More information about Final Fantasy 14‘s Evercold expansion will be revealed at the Tokyo FanFest event on Halloween weekend.
