Xbox Game Pass has just added another potential hit deckbuilder to its library, giving fans of the genre a chance to play Dice A Million, developed by countlessnights. Despite fairly recent price hikes and some people beginning to question the value proposition of Microsoft’s gaming service, Xbox Game Pass continues to be a must-have subscription for many gamers.
While the end of 2025 was somewhat of a dud for Xbox Game Pass, the service has ramped things back up in the opening months of the new year. February 2026 alone has given members a mix of new releases and established hits, adding a range of AAA and indie gems to its catalog. Recent high points include The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Death Howl, Kingdom Come Deliverance, and Diablo 2: Resurrected. Most recently, Xbox Game Pass subscribers gained access to TCG Card Shop Simulator, a 2024 game with a simple premise that currently has an Overwhelmingly Positive user rating on Steam, based on more than 43,000 reviews.
Xbox Game Pass Subscribers Have Another Engaging Deck-Builder to Play
The Xbox Game Pass addition for February 25 also falls into the “out of the box” category and will likely draw in fans of the unique and quirky, as well as gamers who enjoy roguelike deckbuilders. The PC-only title Dice A Million has been added to the service for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. It blends deckbuilding with dice tossing, swapping traditional cards for a range of multi-sided dice, each providing a different effect and forming powerful synergies with each other.
The premise is simple: players have been trapped in a dice-rolling facility and want to get out. To do so, they must build a collection of dice and roll them to clear stages. Each stage has a total score that must be rolled, with the ultimate goal to hit a million. There are more than 120 different dice to unlock or buy, and their effects can be combined to rack up the points quickly… or lose everything. There are treasure chests to loot, as well as cards that grant special perks to dice or rolls. Players can also wear rings, with more than 80 to choose from, each providing bonuses and increasing the likelihood of taking down the challenging end-stage bosses.
Though Dice A Million launches on February 25, there has been a demo available on Steam for a little while already, so some players have already shared their first impressions. So far, the more than 200 players who have forayed into the demo and left feedback have earned it a Very Positive rating. The general consensus seems to be that countlessnights’ roguelike has what it takes to be another breakout hit. Its dice-based gameplay adds an enjoyable twist to the traditional deckbuilder, introducing randomness while still rewarding planning and strategy. The gameplay loop also makes for quick, satisfying jaunts for those with limited time and seems primed for repeat sessions.
Dice A Million seems poised to become one of the positive additions to Xbox Game Pass, of which there have recently been many. And there are still more on the horizon. The full game release of Towerborne will be coming to Xbox Game Pass on February 26 for Ultimate, Premium, and PC subscribers. The Game Preview version of Towerborne has been available since April 2025, and the Silver and Gold Founder’s Packs are currently on sale on the Xbox Store.
On March 3, Final Fantasy 3 from the Pixel Remaster series will be joining the first two games on Microsoft’s subscription service. And Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers who dove into Kingdom Come Deliverance when it was added in mid-February may be glad to know that the sequel will be waiting for them when they’re done. Planet of Lana 2, the sequel to 2023’s award-winning puzzle-platformer about a young girl surviving on a planet invaded by hostile alien machines, will be joining the service day one on March 5.
