After approximately three years of active development, Outbound has officially launched for PC and consoles on May 11 at 10 a.m. ET. Square Glade’s second title also received a day-one release on Microsoft’s subscription service, landing on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. As with other third-party day-one releases, it is unclear when Outbound might be added to the Xbox Game Pass Premium catalog, although Microsoft’s broader content update cadence suggests November 2026 is the earliest feasible window for that to happen.

In March 2026, Outbound surpassed 1.3 million wishlists on Steam alone, averaging more than 50,000 wishlists per month since its official page first appeared on Valve’s platform. By the time of its May 11 release, the cozy crafting game had climbed to No. 13 on the global list of most-wishlisted upcoming titles on Valve’s storefront, according to SteamDB data.
