Xbox Game Pass subscribers already know of at least seven games that they can look forward to in April 2026, with the full lineup still yet to be revealed. New games are added to Xbox Game Pass on a regular basis, ensuring that there is always something new to play. Brand-new, day one releases are added to the PC and Utlimate tiers of Xbox Game Pass, while older games are often made available to Premium tier subscribers as well.
Whereas other subscription services update on specific days, Xbox Game Pass updates its library throughout each month. The new Xbox Game Pass games are revealed at the beginning of each month and in the middle of each month, but release date announcements often ensure that subscribers know of at least some of the games coming to service beyond those windows.
Rumor: New Version of Xbox Game Pass Leaked
An Xbox Game Pass tier that focuses exclusively on Microsoft-owned games seems to have leaked ahead of an official announcement.
As far as the new Xbox Game Pass games for April 2026 go, subscribers can look forward to Barbie Horse Trails on April 2, Final Fantasy 4 on April 7, Hades 2 on April 14, Replaced on April 14, Vampire Crawlers on April 21, Kiln on April 23, and Aphelion on April 28. Out of these, the day one games are Replaced, Vampire Crawlers, Kiln, and Aphelion, though Hades 2 is making its Xbox debut as a Game Pass game, so it can arguably be considered a day one release as well.
Upcoming Xbox Game Pass Games for April 2026
- Barbie Horse Trails – April 2
- Final Fantasy 4 – April 7
- Hades 2 – April 14
- Replaced – April 14
- Vampire Crawlers – April 21
- Kiln – April 23
- Aphelion – April 28
Barbie Horse Trails is an adventure game for kids where players take care of and train horses. Final Fantasy 4 is the pixel remaster of the classic SNES game, and it continues the trend of Microsoft adding Final Fantasy games to Xbox Game Pass. Final Fantasy 4 has been preceded by the original Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy 2, and Final Fantasy 3. Since Final Fantasy 4 has kept the pattern going, one has to imagine that Final Fantasy 5 will drop in May and Final Fantasy 6 will come in June, rounding out the FF pixel remasters on Xbox Game Pass.
Hades 2, meanwhile, is a critically-acclaimed roguelike action game that was first released on PC and Nintendo Switch 2 last year. Hades 2 earned rave reviews from critics, and even managed to earn itself a Game of the Year nomination. The original Hades has proven to be quite popular on Xbox Game Pass over the years, and so it’s likely that many subscribers will be checking out Hades 2 once it lands on the service come April 14.
The same day that Hades 2 is added to Xbox Game Pass, subscribers can play Replaced. Replaced is a long-awaited Xbox Game Pass game that has been delayed multiple times. The dystopian 2.5D action platformer has serious Bladerunner vibes and has always looked impressive, so hopefully it lives up to the hype.
A week later, Game Pass subscribers will get to play Vampire Crawlers, a spin-off of the mega-hit Vampire Survivors. Vampire Crawlers is a roguelike deck-builder, so while the core gameplay will be quite a bit different from Vampire Survivors, it should still scratch a similar itch.
On April 23, Game Pass subscribers can play day one game Kiln. Kiln is a multiplayer party game from Psychonauts developer Double Fine where players sculpt their own fighters out of clay and then battle it out against other players online. And finally, Aphelion will be added to Game Pass as a day one game on April 28. Aphelion is a sci-fi, futuristic action-adventure game with stealth elements developed and published by Don’t Nod. Between it and all the other games coming to Game Pass in April 2026, subscribers should have plenty to look forward to next month.
