Xbox Game Pass Losing 6 Games Today, Including 2 Disappointingly Short-Lived Titles

Xbox Game Pass is losing six games later today, marking its first wave of catalog removals in March 2026. The upcoming batch of departures is somewhat unusual in that it includes two titles that had a surprisingly short stint on the service, having spent barely 10 months combined in the Xbox Game Pass library.

Since the beginning of the year, Microsoft’s popular subscription service pulled 12 games in January, followed by another five in February 2026. The most recently completed wave of removals took place on February 28, when Xbox Game Pass lost Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, Monster Train, and Injustice 2. The next such catalog rotation is scheduled for later today, March 15.

An atmospheric sci-fi adventure locks down a release date, marking the second confirmed Xbox Game Pass release for April 2026.

Lightyear Frontier, F1 23, and 4 More Titles Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass Later Today

The mid-March 2026 departures consist of six titles: Bratz Rhythm & Style, Enter the Gungeon, F1 23, He is Coming, Lightyear Frontier, and Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island. The shortest-lived exits are Bratz Rhythm & Style, which lasted only three months after joining Xbox Game Pass in December 2025, and He Is Coming, which is leaving after about seven months. Originally added in July 2025, He Is Coming also stands out from the rest of the departure wave due to being the only PC exclusive.

The rest of the March 15 departures have had fairly typical stints as part of Microsoft’s content catalog; Enter the Gungeon and Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island joined Xbox Game Pass in March 2025, while Lightyear Frontier and F1 23 have been available for just over two years each. Taken together, the six outgoing titles spent an average of 14 months on the service. That figure marks a sharp drop from the approximately 38-month average stint of the games removed in February 2026. Still, such longer-term third-party stays may be becoming less typical, with the January 2026 departures averaging only 10 months on Xbox Game Pass.

The first half of March 2026 was active enough in terms of new additions to offset the impact of this imminent removal wave. Specifically, seven titles joined the service since the start of the month, all within the seven-day period ending March 10, when Cyberpunk 2077 and Construction Simulator arrived on Xbox Game Pass.

The next catalog addition is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, when DreamWorks Gabby’s Dollhouse: Ready to Party will become available on three tiers of the service: Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass. That date is also the likeliest candidate for the monthly Wave 2 lineup announcement, based on Microsoft’s well-established content cadence. The roster for the second half of the month so far includes only one confirmed title: Nova Roma, a colorful Roman city builder that was initially slated to debut on January 20 before suffering a last-minute delay at the beginning of the year.

Looking ahead, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Blue Prince could also be nearing their Xbox Game Pass departures, as both are approaching the first anniversary of their release. Commandos: Origins and SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game are in a similar boat, as are Tempopo and Crime Scene Cleaner.
